Sounds like a good plan, Alan – does your wife not mind the seaside show throngs as much as the airfield shows?

Well I would go on my own if it came to it 🙂 The seaside events have more space to move around, so are not quite so claustrophobic.

What is Dunsfold like for getting in and out of ?

Agreed. We went to Eastbourne last year, getting the train from Tonbridge. The only problem being stuck on the
platform at St Leonards for over an hour on the way back.

We’ll probably do the same again this year, as it’s a couple of weeks before Clacton. If we go there too, we would
probably get the train from Colchester, it’s only £7.60 return.

Not so nice when they are coming in your direction.

When I spoke to one of the engineers in Hangar 5, he said the B-25 scheme was still “secret”.

    No change there then 🙂

Porsche’s trio of 919 Hybrids will start this weekend’s Le Mans 24 Hours from the top three positions of the grid after
maintaining their supremacy in final qualifying. Audi taking the next three places.
Could this be the end of Audi’s dominance over the last few years ? It could all be down to reliability.

Although I was told that Audi, and some of the other cars were concentrating more on setup, than qualifying
positions. On a 24hr race, grid positions don’t really mean a lot.

    The Red Rose of Normandy.

Must rank as one of the worst war films ever made.

After watching it for 30mins, it was deleted.

    Duxford Wednesday 10th June:

Another busy (and bitterly cold) day at Duxford. Starting with two sorties from the Shark

You mean an average day at Duxford ? Although the Friday we went before the VE-Day show was unusually
    quite warm and calm.

    Nice pictures
