I’m still waiting for someone to tell me what the F-35 can do better than existing aircraft.
Great stuff 🙂
I was there at ATC camp in the mid 60s.
The Hastings were all grounded, due to there having been a fatal accident shortly before we went.
I’d guess that Duxman is on the far side of the airfield with a VERY long lens, hence an unusual angle, and very compressed perspective. Unless the B24 has been teleported to another airfield entirely…

Must have been up a tree in the “naughty field” 🙂
Duxford Friday 1st May
B.24 ‘DUGAN’ on the move this morning from the AAM to AirSpace
That looks very unlike Duxford. (Confused of Essex)
Just a shame that his later years were surrounded in so much controversy.
My tastes in comedy have changed quite a lot over the years.
I used to love Faulty Towers, but often find it embarrassing to watch now.
Blackadder is still a favourite. Although looking at it now, I find that it’s not Rowan Atkinson I find particularly funny,
but the cast around him.
On the few times I watched Allo Allo, I didn’t find it funny at all, more like a kids programme.
Dad’s Army, still a timeless classic.
One of my favourite comedians is Billy Connolly. I just love the way he observes life in general.

Doesn’t look in too bad a condition.
VTOL aside, what does the F-35 do that other aircraft already in service, don’t ?

I’m not sure that it could be bigger, the pre-cast concrete roof alone weighs a staggering 6,000 tons. They’re probably just wishing they’d built something more like a hangar than an architectural statement….
Yes you are no doubt correct. Then again, architects don’t get awards or gongs for building purely functional buildings.
There seems to be an abundance of ground crew as well !
