Then you add the cost of an aircraft carrier, specifically designed to handle this aircraft.

This lack of support amongst the young may be why I have just heard a UKIP spokesman on the radio saying that the age of voting in any referendum on EU should not include 16-18 year olds.

Although this assumption was not borne out, when a mock election was held at a Norfolk school recently.
    UKIP came out on top.

So what happens if aircrew do go in the water. Who fishes them out?

That thought crossed my mind too.

I don’t think it’s about taking pressure off the hydraulic system – the pilots notes has a statement that they should be opened because it takes a lot of manual pumping to open it once the engines are shut down.

    Thanks for that.

    On a similar subject.
When an electrician friend of mine got married and moved to Norfolk, about 40yrs ago, he did some work at Sculthorpe.
He was told by one of the servicemen, that it was quite common for airmen who were being posted away from the base,
to dispose of their cars, by burying them.

I have one acquaintance in particular who delights in sending out emails, usually involving political or racial issues.
It only takes a few clicks on the Internet to find that these stories have been circulating for years. With various
incarnations in Australia and the US.

    “Snopes” is your friend.

Today sees the end of an era, as the last day of duty for the RAF Leconfield-based Sea Kings of E Flight, 202 Squadron. April 1 sees the SAR duties on their beat taken over by Humberside Airport based Sikorsky S.92’s..

Who will be flying them ? Ex-Sea King crews maybe ?

If I hear Cameron say ” A vote for UKIP is a vote for Labour” one more time, I shall go mad 😡
