Destroying or taking away an item (let alone an aircraft) without the owner (let alone USAFM) being aware? I am sure there’s one or two legal issues there to bite you in your backside…

Yes of course I realize that, but I wonder when was the last time that anyone from the USAFM actually checked to see if the
F-100 was still there, or what condition it was in ?

I just wanted to debate whether the party in power actual makes any difference to
the overall economy of the country,or indeed the planet.
    .

Probably not, considering that Blair was one of Thatchers biggest fans.

Something he will live to regret when certain revelations are made public.

Its still on USAFM charge -its just as likely to head to the U.S .

It’s likely that if nobody had contacted them, it could be scrapped or moved without any paperwork.
I suspect that the people at Headcorn would like to see the back of it.

Has it gone or is it still hanging on in the undergrowth?

I haven’t seen Always in ages. Need to watch it soon…!

They don’t seem to put it on very often, for whatever reason. One of the last films that the lovely
    Audrey Hepburn appeared in. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZC79rQ7TMcU

Just to get back to the original question. “If Friday the 13th” were a “runner”, would the bomb doors be open when the
aircraft was at rest, similar to the Lancasters ? Presumably to take the pressure off of the hydraulics ?

What surprises me the most in this affair, is the haste that the authorities have come to their conclusions,
    as to the cause.

    Jim,
In my opinion there is no such thing as the “PC brigade” unless one allows such to exist.

You are of course entitled to your opinion. My opinion is that there definitely is a PC Brigade. As with Jim,
I can only go by my personal experience.

practice bombs are usually only small devices

My understanding was, that a practice bomb was the same size and weight of the “normal” bomb,
    but without any explosive charge.

I should have thought the other two have more than shown their individual talents well away from TG.

The talents of Hammond escape me at the moment.
