I still think that James May comes over better when doing his own programmes. Hammond acts like a kid, no matter what
he is doing. The only thing Clarkson did which was any good, was the series on winners of the VC.

I too grew up in Southend with them constantly droning over my back garden and used to regularly go to the viewing deck at the airport terminal to watch the comings and goings and see if CF-EPV had moved in the direction of airworthiness. Sadly that never happened and before long the survivors shed their paint and acquired Falcon Aiways titles and were gone. Happy days and yes Bomberfilght, I was at that display too 😮

I was there too, complete with radio and log book, on the waving off platform and the airshow.

A rarely watch the programme, but on the odd occasion I have, James May seems to stand out as the only
one with a bit of common sense.

Also sat in a Lightning and Phantom, as an ATC cadet at RAF Bruggen.

Lovely weather today, and the wind has dropped.
