If I’m reading this right then Eastbourne /Biggin Hill is this weekend and Southend is next weekend.

That’s about the size of it, apart from the BBMF making a fuel stop at Southend this Sunday. (no time for that yet)
Clacton is Thursday and Friday

Another thing I heard tonight, (which has yet to be confirmed officially) is that the Typhoons have cancelled.
This could mean one of two things. They are now going to Biggin Hill along with the BBMF and Red Arrows,
which would make logistical sense. Or they have cancelled altogether.
I’m sure someone will have the definitive answer for that.

I did also hear that when the Vulcan is at Clacton next week, they are going to try to get it to pass over Southend.
It’s a long shot and may or may not happen.

Info from 1935 rooftop bar at Southend Airport:

Are the airport going to allow any sort of photographic oppotunity during the vist for Clacton or is it a case of “hanging around” the perimeter during arrivals & departures ?
I have tried to find out from the airport direct but so far no joy.

I don’t think the airport know more than anyone else. There are still people expecting the BBMF in on Thursday.
They could have a long wait.

This week will see a number of RAF aircraft including the Red Arrows, BBMF and Typhoon operating from Biggin Hill in support of the Eastbourne Air Show.

Different information yet again. I do hope someone has informed the aircrew as to where they are going.

I’m confused.

Updated for the next few days until Friday. Practice flights tomorrow (no timings given, presumably as many as required, crosswinds permitting!), PDA at noon on Wednesday, then arriving at Biggin via the display at Eastbourne on Thursday afternoon

Is Biggin Hill a change of location ? I was under the impression they were going to be flying in and out of Southend. It even said this on the CWH website.

Hopefully they will still use Southend for the Clacton show ?

I have no problem with Vera, as it’s not far off it’s registration. Thumper is a bit silly though.
Sounds like something printed on a kids T-Shirt, bought from a museum shop.

I wonder what the chances are of the BBMF flying their/our Lancaster to Canada ?
