I’m not big on aviation archaeology, but was astounded to find that a close friend of mine whom I’d shown around the 9th Air Force base at Willingale (Chipping Ongar) for the very first time in the early 1990’s, had taken several trips back there with his folks…………

I used to go metal detecting there with my club. I never found much, but I remember that someone else found a Dog tag.
No idea what he did with it.
