It’s not the first time something like this has happened, and I doubt it will be the last.
I don’t know the ages of the children, but I wonder if anyone asked them how they felt ?

He did pretty well I thought.
You may have already seen it, but I was at Southend museum Friday
evening, and bought what looks like a good book.
RAF Southend 1940-1944. by Peter Brown
It gives a day to day accounts of events involving the airfield.
F-84
BBC4. It’s repeated every few months. Great programme, well worth catching. If you love steam locos.
That’s the one 🙂
What’s the difference between a “Qualified” pilot, and a “Fully Qualified” pilot ?
Can you have a “Half Qualified” pilot ? 🙂
Couldn’t care less, one way or the other.
Couldn’t care less, one way or the other.
I believe that Ian Allan is still with us.
He was on a programme about the last days of steam, the other day.
It was a repeat from a year or two back.
I think it was on the Yesterday or Blighty ?
Julie Reinger did the piece – only 30 or so minutes previously while doing the Look East weather she referred to the programme piece as being about the Royal Air Corps – surprised she didn’t think it stood for Rain, Fog, Clouds….
Yes I noticed that too. 😉
A nice piece about the RFC and Stow Maries. The memorials next to the A130 are very local to me.
As I get Inside out (London) by default, perhaps someone can put a link up
to Monday’s programme ?
Oh I don’t know. The Belfast had a pretty distinctive sound.
Ooh very nice indeed. You always seem to get decent weather at Southend as well.
It bis one of the driest parts of the country, although it doesn’t always seem like it.
Nice picture 🙂
Thanks, I shall set that to record.
Yes I know. 😉
As I’ve said before Ike is a weird person who comes out with many
outlandish theories, which don’t take a genius to find using Google.
Although in this instance he publicly named Savile and his accomplices several
years ago.
