Yes indeed it is. But In think you missed the poster’s point which was that that word a few others comprise the total vocabulary of many people. An exagerration of course but to emphasise his general point about children learning the national language before any foreign languages.
I didn’t miss his point, just trying to make one.
Learn Welsh as a second language by all means, but English should (in my mind) be their primary language.
