I always love the sight of Poppies.

We had some on a roundabout close to us.

They cut them all down a couple of weeks ago, when the Olympic flame came through 😡

I suppose there must be P1127s or Kestrals in museums ?

I of course realize that, as I watched the programme.

Yes I enjoyed that one too. They glossed over the demolition of the other 747 though. There was a much better one done on Discovery, on how they recycled virtually everything.

Wouldn’t they have test flown the aircraft following such a major service ?

She is open to the public on Sunday.

“HMS Ocean will sail up the River Thames to berth at Greenwich on Friday evening (July 13) and will be open to visit by the public on Sunday (July 15) – a unique opportunity to tour the largest ship in the Royal Navy”.

I have a friend who flys regularly from an airfield just to the east of London.
Knowing about the temporary exclusion, I jokingly said they he ought to go and
drop flour bombs on HMS Ocean and see what response he got.

    He wasn’t amused, I wish I hadn’t bothered 🙁

It’s a shame they’ve condensed a three part series into one episode.

Thanks for the quick answer to that one.

I found a video from Old Warden:

That’s what you really call, “flying by the seat of your pants” 🙂

Just a general tidy up. It’s mostly stuff that was brought from home when I
    got married. 28yrs ago !

Also found a Channel Airways shoulder bag that my sister gave me. She used
to be a stewardess at Southend.

A two man tent as well, only used once.

I’ll hang on to the magazines for a little while, but a lot of stuff went in a
    bonfire earlier.

    Whereabouts are you ?

The magazines weigh a ton (well nearly), far too expensive to post

Great pictures, especially the first one of the Vulcan.

Lovely lighting on the head-on shot of the Black Eagles.

They do seem to have “Cherry Picked” some of the more well known
incidents, but I expect they just did a search through their archives.

It is rather a pointless article though.
