Actually you will find many people who like myself regard the Red Arrows boring, frankly there are other display teams out there who do more interesting displays. A friend of mine maybe a bit cruelly called them the Red Boring’s. At air shows I would often use the time the reds came out as an opportunity to look at more interesting aircraft on the flight line without the longer queues. Not that I don’t think there shouldn’t be a Red Arrows but I have long felt they needed to take a look at what they were doing, a more diverse and interesting display needn’t be dangerous.
I have to admit to agreeing with you. I much prefer watching the Frecce
Tricolori. Maybe it’s that Italian flair, or that their aircraft are much more
suited to formation aerobatics ?
That is not to detract from the skill of the RAF team.
