    I would have considered this book to be of national interest.

    The owner could at least allow it to be published, where it would probably
    raise some valuable cash for RAF charities.

    I’m not reading much at the moment, but I can highly recommend Between Silk and Cyanide by Leo Marks.
    The story of his involvement with SOE during WWII.

    I think it should be in the RAF Museum but I doubt they can afford it.

    I agree, something like this should be available for all to see. Not locked away
    to be re-sold at a later date.
    Regarding Bader, he did have his detractors. If I remember correctly,
    Bob Stanford Tuck wasn’t one of his greatest fans ?

    I can still remember camping in South Wales with my parents as a youngster. Watching Gannets flying overhead, going into Brawdy.

    Yes, but I think it doubtful that they will be allowed to leave it where it is for
    the long term. With the rapidly expanding airport, the flying club and Vulcan
    will no doubt have to find new homes.

    I also wonder about XL426 at Southend. Especially if Stobart eventually want it shifted.

    Reading the thread about G-AIDN, made me wonder about 2-seater Hurricanes, whereupon I found this thread.

    I wonder why we don’t see any 2-seaters today ? (As far as I know)

    Is it because, there being fewer Hurricanes flying, nobody wants to convert
    one ?
    Or is it that the construction of the Hurricane doesn’t lend itself to being
    converted ?

    I suspect the problem is Insurance. Although why this should be a bigger issue in certain types of aircraft, who knows ?.

    Solway Aviation Museum have expressed an interest.

    .

    A museum is a good way to go. I would loan them rather than donate.
    That way, if the museum packs up, you should get them back.

    I realise that 😉 I meant it still lists other aircraft flights, including those at Thunder City.
    I assume the people operating that website are agents for those wanting a flying experience in
    various countries.
