This really beggars belief !!
We should not perhaps read too much into this, but I believe there are those who have wanted to save money
by scrapping them altogether ?
What next ?
Utter crap!
I estimate that about 99% of a person’s lot-in-life is down to the decisions they made themselves or decisions their parents made for them, at least in comparison to their fellow countrymen, in any approximation of a democracy (which the UK surely is)…
…I am sick to ******* death of people blaming anybody but themselves!
From personal experience, I would agree with that. I’ve always been careful with money, as has my wife. This has enabled us both to retire early with adequate pensions.
A good friend has never saved, always bought on credit, and is up to his limit on credit cards. He still has a massive mortgage which he has virtually no chance
of paying off. Having to keep working past retirement age to make ends meet.
As I heard a businessman say several years ago. “The majority of businesses fail, because people can’t handle money”
John,
No, immigration doesn’t put much extra pressure on the NHS. Most of those who come here are young, fit and healthy, and often return before they start a family.
Although…………In 2014 Births to non-UK born mothers accounted for 27.0% of all live births in 2014,
compared with 26.5% in 2013.
Yes I know, statistics don’t tell the whole story.
So, I wondered if our resident leavers would like to comment in what they expect to happen, and where we will be in, say 10 years time.
The answer to that is, nobody knows.
Where will we be in 10yrs time if we stay in ? Nobody knows, as out destiny will be in the hands of others.
This is of course assuming the EU hasn’t fallen apart by then.
After loading cargo and passengers, the RMS St.Helena will depart from Tilbury at 16.00hrs on Tuesday 14 June,
en route to Tenerife, Ascension and St Helena.
One has to wonder how this country survived for so long, outside of the common market ?
Is there a list of probable attendees posted yet ?
Changes to the schedule did indeed happen 🙁
The two Spitfires due to come into Southend on Friday morning, turned into one Spitfire arriving late Saturday afternoon. When I was in Norfolk 🙂
I went to the airport and made enquiries on Sunday morning, as I didn’t know when it was flying out. I was told it was in a hangar and would be
going out at around 2:30pm, weather permitting.
I was also told, it or another Spitfire is back next Saturday (18th) in the afternoon. Going off to display at Old Warden, then coming back to Southend.
PZ863 T311 BBMF fighters over Hanningfield reservoir waiting the arrival of the main queens flight,
Then watched the Queens flight pass overhead towards London including the Reds in tail end charlie
A pair of Spitfires were due to be overnighting at Southend. Dont know if they
made it in. They were originally due in Friday.
So therefore the only shows should be on are Duxford,RIAT, Shuttleworth and RAF Cosford?
Plus the big seaside shows ?
I used to be the same with FB, but it can come in quite handy.
You can have as many different identities as you like.
On my main page I have just eight “friends”. I dont see the point in
having hundreds of friends I dont know.
Why are people having a go at her ?
Due to finish this cruise in a month’s time in Capetown. The Itinerary also says it’s leaving the UK on Tuesday.
I can only assume it will be departing from somewhere other than London, in order to take on passengers ?
I hope it’s isn’t the Tilbury Cruise Terminal.
Edit: Just found this: http://onthethames.net/2016/06/06/rms-st-helena-london-farewell-visit/
RMS St Helena sailed up the Thames yesterday and entered Tilbury Docks where she remains until Tuesday afternoon. She will then go up the river and sail through Tower Bridge at 1645.
The Princess Royal, Princess Anne, will attend a reception on board the ship on Wednesday and St Helena heads back down the river to Tilbury on Friday afternoon.
Maybe the way I am reading it, but it doesn’t make sense to me.
Thanks Brian, obviously wrong info on TV, or I misheard it ?
Should be a good couple of hours to get down as far as Canvey.
I saw a piece about this on the news the other night. I believe it is leaving London for the last time, on Tuesday.
I’d like to know what time, so I could get some pictures of it en-route. Off Canvey Island maybe, or Tilbury.
