Spitfire seems to be suffering from “Blackbirditis”, or is that effect enhanced by the camera ?

I suspect he meant the former, however.

That would also be my guess.

Depends what you define as accurate, Alan.

In terms of when it’s going to rain for instance. I can look on “Will it rain today”, and it will show heavy
cloud formations. More often than not, it doesn’t actually fall from the sky.
Same with snow, it’s very unpredictable. I think they often err on side of caution, to avoid people complaining
    they weren’t warned.

We have quite a collection of pine cones, gathered on our travels. I never think to look at them though.
I would have thought they need to be outside under cover ?

As long as they don’t have a romantic thread running through the film.

Two pilots after the same girl, which one comes back ?

Ladi Marmol was famous at Southend for his short take offs and landings in Pilatus Turboporters and the Bumble Bee which is now with the Science Museum at Wroughton.
    ,

I still recall him flying his Turboporter at Southend. Back in my days as an aircraft spotter 🙂

Someone who worked in ATC at Southend many years ago, was also telling me of a time they flew to Kidlington.
Apparently they called up Kidlington on the radio, who asked their position. Directly overhead was the reply.
He then proceeded to do a “falling leaf” to a landing. Followed by taxiing backwards to the apron.

Quite a character by all accounts.

I have mixed feeling about a remake. Remakes are seldom better than the original.
If indeed it does get to be made, it’ll have to be in the UK and not the US.

Not sure I understand the ‘teletubbies’ comment?

The Sun symbol………………………… or so I am told 🙂

I had to look at that picture a few times, as I assumed the blue bits were the sea. Silly me 🙂
