Title should be changed to ‘People Are Stupid’
No way! The people in that video really are awesome! Its taken them years of practice to be a good as they are… I love those videos!
Cool… That my video in that article… The one flying around scampton!
Personally, I’d love to see BBMF move to Scampton, or maybe one the the full size model lancasters that have been built for the Dambusters remake.
Its free if you have a student license, but you cannot use it for commercial projects, and the license only lasts for three years.
Thanks for that! I need to find myself a student then!!!!
Skyraider… Re Commissions – PM inbound!
Skyraider answered that in an earlier post, but not the full name.
Autodesk 3ds Max is the software.
Thanks very much for that.
That’s an expensive bit of software!
This really is stunning. I used to look at another forum with people producing these 3d ‘models’ and making digital aero art, but I no longer have it saved after my computer crashed a couple of years ago!
Can you give us some insight into how you produce such a model? What software do you use? Amazing work!
A Hilson Bi Mono!!!
Let me know if you need a hand moving her Jon – How hard can it be!!!!
Thank you all very much for your replies. I appreciate it.
I will keep you posted on how the project progresses.

Yes Jack… Really! I hadn’t see that thread. I looked on Everetts website last night and saw that they had 478, but there were no post restoration photos. Having said that, to be fair to them, it does say that it is being restored to static display… I’m simply saying that I haven’t seen that from everetts. I tried to stress that it wasn’t a criticism, it was just my observations (or lack of them!)
However, back to my original post, I still think the best outcome ‘for the aircraft’ would be to put it though the auction system like these things used to be done, and let the aviation enthusiast bid. Its thanks to that system that Bruntingthorpe is the place it is today.
I’m not sure if I agree with you there Peter – You might be right, but I wonder what is better… Going to Everett’s and sitting there for years waiting for a buyer, or going on the open market like aircraft used too, and being bought by a group of enthusiasts who could afford it at the initial price, but not necessarily at the re sale price?
In my personal oppinion, if it was going to any dealer then I would rather see it at JetArt – At least they have the skills and passion to restore these old aircraft before moving them on. I haven’t seen that from Everett’s. Its not a criticism… Just my observations!
Do you know where too?
Well, since my last post on here we’ve given away £86MILLION to our friends in need (including those who can support their own space programme but need help from us for food and medicine!)
I think its fair to say that we can afford the Red’s for a few more years!
Yes, my thoughts exactly – He sounds like a real enthusiast!!!
Please excuse my ignorance, but what happens in 2015?
Single seat hunter for sale… Not sure I’d like to have to deal with the guy!
