I must say GeForce had some interesting remarks and most of them were quite well thought true. GeForce has said exectly what I’ve said but alittle bit stronger then then I have, so I couldn’t agree more on most remarks. I don’t thing he deserved all the crap from Phantom II and others. I would have liked to hear their honest opinion and I would hope that they are a bit more critical towards their own leadership. They have to remember this, that in an open DEMOCRATIC society you can and indeed it’s your civil duty to follow your politicians critical. You can’t wave any critical notions that we (I and many Europeans on this board) might have on American politics simply away as anti American. I don’t feel that anyone who reacted on my messages has really got a truly anti American attitude. I can’t emphasise this enough. If you can’t be critical towards an ally then it isn’t an ally, I still feel that America is an ally, but I happen to disagree on many different subjects with the American government, but that doesn’t make me an anti American, sorry guys but you are wrong on this one.

Well this is interesting, the Peoples republic of China’s claim in Taiwan is valid. Well not exactly, actually Republic of China’s (Taiwan)claim on mainland China is valid. After the civil war the legitiment government fled to Taiwan and they were still recognised as such.
In the UN China (mainland) wasn’t recognised as a country and the seat in the United Nations body was taken by Taiwan and not China. The US applied pressure to the UN to change this in I think something like the early to mid sixties. Taiwan was expelled and China came into the UN. De facto America is supplying military hard ware to a country which doesn’t officially exist. They do recognise mainland china and therefore they do also recognise Taiwan as part of China. And you could argue that Taiwan is a part of China nowadays but not in control of the recognised government like the FARC regions in Colombia. The main difference is that the US is supplying military hard ware to in Chinese eyes terrorist people.
It might sound strange and difficult to except but you have to be straight forward and rational about this. Either the US and the rest of the world has to except Taiwan is a country or they have to stop sending military hardware to it and recognise Beijingโs power over the province of Taiwan.

Saunon,
If you followed the news a bit then you would know that stationing Americans in the Arabic world and in particularly in Saudi Arabia, the land with the most holy sites for the Moslem world was the main motivation for Bin Laden to commence it’s fathwa against the US.
Phantom II,
You claim that the No fly zone is the best thing that ever could happen. ask that to the thousands of children that die there every year, because of your wonderful and beloved sanctions. You have to remember that you helped Saddam Housein into the saddle and now this policy has back fired and your weaning about it, please. Self-determination right is the most important right a country has. The US doesn’t care about that, we ave seen it time and time again. If some country doesn’t do as it is told then we replace the government with a pro American one. And sure that doesn’t work in Europe. But to bring back the reason I started this, American has this law and by bringing up this kind of thing the US has gone to far, by far. I can’t believe anybody with a sane mind could defend this law. I feel as long as this law is present we, should kick out all American soldiers in Europe, beginning in Holland. You can’t have a foreign force in your country which basically says we are going to attack you in the future.
I’m not an anti American this a critical follower, if that makes me in your eyes an Anti American sued your self, but remember this you just killed off a good bond we Europeans have with you. Goes if someone shows clearly, as you do, no respect for other opinions then I won’t have anything to do with you,

RE: Same old anti – US Crap
I sincerely hope that messages isn’t meant for me, if it is then you should read my post again. I’m not an Anti American. I follow American politics with great interested and in general I don’t have anything against Americans but if you seriously believe that, as I do, we all, Europeans and Americans, have a responsibility in this world then we should act like it. The close co-operations between Europe and the US means that we can have a critical attitude towards the policies and everything we do in the world. If you say we are jealous that really means that you are saying: “shut up, all you are saying is comes from this human emotion you I ignore it completely”. If you say I’m glad to be an American then I respect that. When I say that I’m glad to live in Europe and indeed in The Netherlands then you have to respect that, if you can’t respect this simple philosophy then I don’t have anything more to say, besides that I really don’t understand what motivates you.
>Without the United States, there
>would be many things (including first line military
>hardware) that your nations would be without.
Yes indeed that would be true, but the same goes for a lot of other stuff that you would be without. It is simply an interaction between you and the rest of the world. Hate to bring the news in this way but you are not alone on this planet and you do not dictates what happens in this world by your self. Come off your high horse and see what happens in the real world.
