Very nice!
Where did you make these photos? I have been to STN once or twice and never had good luck spotting there. Is the place easily accesible by foot / public transport?
I wonder if this might help you out:
Surely just simply collapsing in the aisle, they will then take you off for treatment…….. and as baggage is not allowed to fly unattended, that would also have to come off resulting in returning to the terminal
But surely the aircraft hadn’t left the terminal because it wouldn’t have had a slot and clearence?
Very nice.
What time does the UPS arrive?
It’s ok, but does it really warrant spending all that money repainting them for what is essentially a minor change?
might consider side walks and toasters as well.
:D:D:D:D:D
It’s like asking why there aren’t more flights to Providence or New Haven – It’s because people don’t want to fly there…
While Manchester is a big city, most visitors to the UK (particularly business visitors) want to be able to fly into London. Similarly, while East Midlands and Doncaster have a fairly central location, so does Wichita – doesn’t mean anyone would want to fly there.
blinkered anti-flying green eco-wotsits will realise just how crucial air transport and air travel is.
Perhaps, although maybe this just shows that we don’t have air travel and yet for the most part life goes on.
Go out and enjoy Britain… it’s a lovely day!
Why not consider Thomas Cook to Sanford?! Flying on the 330 will be an experience!:dev2:
Because he wants to go to Miami?
It’s over 250 miles from Sanford to Miami… it’s like someone from the US travelling to London and suggesting they fly into Paris instead 😀
Afraid not. I only stayed for a couple of hours and this was the only stuff really worth shooting, aside from the ones which I binned because the lighting was just that bad!
I was under the impression that Easyjet don’t charge for airport check-in but they recommend checking in online for convenience. Anyone else know for sure?
P.S. Ya have to be careful civilspotter, posting more than 3 pics can lead to all sorts of hassle in these threads
not necessary
Three from me… all from Heathrow i’m afraid
No disprespect mate, but I hope you don’t drive anywhere that I do. 😉
Both on the road and at the airport give way is an abbreviated form of ‘give right of way to’ in other words, let any other one go first.
1L.
Not really…
On the roads, traffic lights tell you to STOP for other traffic or pedestrians where the view isn’t sufficient or there is too much traffic for the driver to make a sound judgement.
Give way lines indicate that, if you proceed and there is an accident, it will be your fault. But it is up to the driver’s judgement whether or not it is safe to proceed.
On the taxiways, an aircraft is told to stop or hold position, and may not move off until it is given the “green light” to proceed. If it is told to give way then it may choose to slow right down and pass behind the second aircraft… but if the pilot’s view is limited then he might think the aircraft has passed before it actually has
Presumably both of these incidents took place at the same intersection where the views are not sufficient for pilots to judge whether or not it is safe to carry one? Like a blind spot or something?
This would explain why the change in procedure only effects Manchester (perhaps it only effects a single intersection at Manchester?)
That’s a good thought actually. Andrew created the thread so it’s only right it’s his call I think. Any thoughts, Andrew?
Paul
I think it’s clear to most of us why the restriction is in place and what would happen if we removed the restriction (we’ve seen it in other threads!). What I might be inclined to do on future threads is what I did with the JAL thread a couple of weeks ago; one shot of each aircraft per person… Any thoughts?
