Merry Christmas to all and a very Happy New Year
Thank you Stan, very interesting indeed, cheers
Hey Peter, the tail gunner Bruce Baird lives here in Oshawa
I am with Creaking Door has to be captured RAF type, probably late 1939, Battle of France example?
I had read a few years ago that Nungesser had made it to and crashed in the woods of Maine? a logging company had found some aircraft remains and and engine? anyway interesting reading, cheers
Here I found a picture of a couple of wingtips I missed getting a few years back, sure look the same.
Yep sure looks like Lancaster, just missing wingtip lights, nice item for sure.
Beaufighter VI could also include Bolingbroke/Blenheim fuel dump valve, DB
Check out the number on this Vampire Mk 3,, James Bond would be proud, very much a work in progress.
Thanks for your quick relpy Bruce, so if I have a Mk 3 pod, booms and a tail, the Venom wings, engine mount would finish off a Mk 3 looking Vampire? again thank you, Darrell
Nice video, always liked the Avenger, sounds great with those big American radial engines.
Hello Laurence, Ken Gamble was quite a character, he did have a Harvard but it is long gone, that picture is the remains of a Fairchild Cornell , a trainer used in the BCATP. Our friend on this forum Fleet16b(Cam Harrod) is looking after all remaing stuff any inquiries could be made to him, he is quite an enthusiast himself, cheers Darrell
Hopefully will be there Jeremy, buddy bringing his Chipmunk, cheers Darrell
Exhaust stuff Mossie? any ideas on scoop? less than 3 feet across, not super big, but looks like British fittings? maybe 50s aircraft? cheers DB
Was your grandfather in the service? the compass was probably used in training aircraft for the BCATP, used in a variety of aircraft from Tigermoths to Hurricanes, in the box as you have roughly 40-100 dollars realistically( but worth what someone will pay right? there is about one every week on the bay), they are not super rare but are useful collectables, good luck Darrell
