I know you like a good wind up, but I bet even you didn’t tune in to listen to Terry this morning, he’s probably as much of a staid old b##### like you in reality, but I’m afraid he is a much loved ‘Irish Git’ over here, he is one of those few people who can reduce me to laughing so much, that I have to pull over to the kerb, he seems to have the ability to reach out to anybody with his unsubtle comments, from my 14 year old youth, who only watched the programme for Wogans snide comments, to old gits like me.
Leave the man alone, he deserves his place in the sphere of things.

Let us add ‘Blade Runner’ to the list as well, possibly my favourite Sci-Fi movie, perhaps Mr Rowell is a Replicant and is frightened of the consequences.

Horrible thing to say, but they are such nuisances.
The trouble with having a dog is that they become so much part of your life that the consideration of your pals departing this planet is an awful thought. Ours are getting on a bit now, yes they are a pain and rule our lives, but the the thought of being without them is a terrible thing, the gits are lurking to go out now, the weather is foul and I have things to do, but they are pleading against the door, it could be a short walk, I hate them when it’s like this, but rest assured, we’ll no doubt be all curled up together on the settee later.

Not Bennett and Bubble again, how can you possibly say that Bubble sounds like a young Frank, he isn’t in the same league, he’s just a sad copy like so many of them, don’t forget Frank was there first. There are so many of these fourth rate crooners about, but I know, people love it, it’s always the grinning sad little young git with slicked back hair and a mohair suit who thinks he’s cool with his impression of ‘Swing’ that wows the voters in all our insufferable UK TV ‘Talent’ contests.
As for Bennett:- listen to a track from ‘The Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band’ from 40 years ago called ‘Look at me, I’m Wonderful’. you’ll appreciate what I’m trying to say, Oh, I once saw Legs Larry Smith do this live and he wasn’t wearing a rug either, nor a false nose.

I remember the show well, it became quite a cult thing in the late 60’s, we all loved it at the time.
Unfortunately, it hasn’t aged well, look at some of the sketches now and they are cringeingly embarresing.
I just looked for his obituary on Google and ended up reading about ‘The Laugh In’ on Wiki, it lists many of those good old catch phrases we used to mutter around school at the time, makes you wonder how we thought it was funny, especially when you compare it to the contemporary ‘Monty Python’, which was just getting in its stride as ‘Laugh In’ was losing popularity.
Still, the show gave us Goldie Hawn, who still looks good 40 years on, without the aid of plastic surgery by the way.

Reading that made my morning, I thought I was the only one who thought the same, well not quite, I gather it’s also Madonnas favourite beer, she caused a sensation at the Brewery in Keighley after she announced the fact on a TV chat show. They had to double the production overnight as all the kids in the area dumped the Stella/Becks crap and started demanding Landlord. I gather that Timothy Taylors sent her a cratefull and a thank you for the best free publicity they could possibly get.
Try a pub crawl round Keighley, TT own most of the pubs, better hurry though before the local religous radicals get the place shut down.
