Sorry, I was in a particulary bad mood yesterday over a job that consistantly goes wrong, I didn’t feel very forgiving over anything because of yesterdays stress.
Yes I do listen to the radio a lot, what is great is that, at this very moment, Steve Wright on Radio 2 is playing a track from Radioheads new CD, I presume that the British public are turning off in droves, sorry didn’t mean it.
Just for your information, I’m going to turn round and pick up the CD’s that are piled up next to our mini system in the dining room, these have been left lying about after a weeks hard graft, what does it say about a person, you tell me.

While I agree with your general sentiment, whether you come from a household of musicians or not the simple fact you’re missing is that sadly much of the music world is an industry; a business and it’s there to make money in any way it can. If record company execs can market what many consider to be utter garbage and make millions, they will, and whether you like it or not people do buy it.

I really don’t see the point in getting so aggressively angry about it. I’m sitting here listening to a stunning album called Turbulent Indigo by Joni Mitchell. I suggest you do something similar and cool down a bit! 😀

Is this the album where the great talent that was Joni Mitchell has turned to jazz, always a good get out clause isn’t it.
We think it’s very sad that the talented Kate Rusby was first of all made to sing with that self opinionated, talentless, useless get from Boyzone, then is made to release a single that was originally written by the great Ray Davies, not that this has ever been mentioned, and no one in the media seems to like it anyway.
We do get angry about it, you bet, the music industry has really reached a low at the moment, unless you are preprared to sniff about to find it, forget it, the whole system is corrupt and geared to making money for the so called providers of what we are supposed to like.

These people are only famous becouse the public buy there albums,and only receive awards becouse the public vote for them.

Get lost, I didn’t buy any of this rubbish, and nor did anyone that we know, and that goes for our youths and their mates as well, we have a family of musicians from 13 to 57.
It’s all a load of back handed promotion by the music industry and the radio stations, I was just driving home and could tell that Stuart Maconie in no way approved of or wanted to play the ‘single of the week’ by the wonderful and ‘talented’ James tank commander Bland.
You have to find decent music for yourselves and forget what we are told is good, and it is out there.
We are bombarded by a plethora of TV programmes that feature amazing talent contests, my God, is that woman really like Dusty Springfield, ‘My ****’, but no, she’s off to the States as she’s considered to be the ultimate in Dusty clones, yeah right, she’s going to fall on her backside, no doubt about that. It’s very sad how the British public is being manipulated.

Do you want me to go on, the Osbornes, great, poor old Ozzie has been on another planet for years, did you know he wanted to do a duet with Macca, fortunately the offer was turned down, imagine that, Ozzie singing the Long and Winding Road, thank God he didn’t try and find it and embarrass the family even more by falling off the stage while on his quest.
Sharon was totally pissed, her exchange with an equally totally pissed Vic Reeves was the highlight of the night, we always thought that Kelly Osborne was a sad git and were hiding behind the settee at the prospect of her doing THAT song with her father, thank got it never happened, but at least she was coherent enough to try and hold them together.
If the music industry in this country want to lick it’s own backside and behave apallingly, well, it’s up to them, let them do it in private if this is all they have to offer, it was bloody sad, it wouldn’t have been so bad if the true kings of nastiness, the good old Gallaghers, who at least would have taken the **** out of this crap, had been involved.
By the way, Lennon/Macartney were’nt the first ‘Pop Stars’ to write their own songs, a certain person called Buddy Holly did it a few years before them, and guess who’s style they copied.

Looking at airfields on Google Earth is very addictive, I haven’t looked at Marham for a while, but the amount of work at Fairford is astonishing, bet you can’t find a single aircraft on the site for all their efforts.
I was quite interested to have a look at Brise Norton at the same time, ie the other day, and noticed an Illuyshin 76 with roundels on the wings, could this have been the support aircraft for the Indian Air Force visit last summer.
I’ve almost run out of airfields to look at, some of the Welsh and Scottish ones are not of the finest clarity, you can’t beat Davis-Monthan for a bit of spotting of types though, you need your sandwiches for that one.

The whole charade was appalling, we looked at our CD’s purchased last year and thought, ‘Yeah, Right’, so where does our stuff feature in this crap.
We’re not looking at ‘Aged P’s’ considering this, we have youths as well, who were also amazed by the nominations.
As for the performances, they were appalling, apart from the Umbrella girl and Saxon, whoever they were, even Sir Macca was dreadful, though trying to dump Long John Silver must be slightly on his mind.
How long do we have to have sympathies with lovely Amy Winehouse and her outpourings over her darling criminal husband, I personally think that she’s great, but she’s lost it, her performances last night were really bad.
Who is this dickhead Ronson, great, I’ll play other peoples songs in my shiny suit and posh guitar, looking like a total pillock and get an award for doing it, give me strength.
Mika and Take That could do with a can of petrol pouring over them, they are pathetic, there is good stuff out there, but as we always say in this household, its always down to the good old British public, God help us, they’ve all been manipulated by the media, end of story.
One good thing, at least we didn’t have to put up with whining war hero James Blunt, that would really have involved brick through television.

I read somewhere that during the 50’s the USAF Sabres in Europe were always given a good seeing to by the CAF Canadair built examples during exercises, not a happy situation to be in when your own country designed the thing, was this not from Chuck Yeagers own memoirs.
Weren’t the RAF Hunter stop gap examples all Canadair built because they were considered superior.
I remember being treated to a supersonic flyby by a group of Canadian Sabres at Newton Airshow, circa 1956, several windows were smashed, that was an experience not to be forgotten, even after all these years.

Good footage and the music worked admirably, (I never liked Johnny Darko).
Was most of that filmed at Boscombe Down, I seem to recognise the great lump of a hangar and the topography as being there, and didn’t that Lightning get a bit close to the wingtips, lets not forget what happened to the Valkyrie.
Interesting use of a Meteor as a chase plane in the black and white shots, they were a bit hopeful weren’t they.
