If it’s extensive, catalogued and worthwhile it will re-surface sometime later.
If, however, it’s like mine, a couple of shelves of books, bits and bobs of memorabilia, personal experiences, hundreds of un-sorted pix – it’ll die with me. Maybe my grandkids will come across bits of it in the future and sell them on e-bay.

Hiroshima. Nagasaki.
Doubt if nukes can be considered “precision” bombing . . . unles you mean hitting the country they were aimed at! 😉
.
. . . . and i’ve been visiting the museum for about 15 years!
So, you first visited when you were three! There’s an enthusiast for you. :diablo:
😉
JAGx204 gave the explanation in April on a thread “Midland Air Museum Photos” that the R.Saudi A.F. flag contains a passage from the Koran and exclusion was part of the acquisition deal with B.Ae.
Hmmm. . . cue Albert and his Strikemasters. :diablo: :diablo:
.
Low is low! If an aircraft apparently only makes it on to the end of the runway, he is TOO LOW! Would you like to drive a double-decker bus along that road when that Phantom was landing? If a shot makes you gasp, it’s worth posting! 😮
Horlicks.
😉
Crikey, not surprising! Was that taking off/coming into land? Bet the spectators got some good pics
Flaps are down, he’s coming in low over the treshold.
Regarding the Omani Jags at Thumriat, I have a couple or three short, low-qual videos of these nutters in action. About 3.odd Mb.
BTW the way Les, I’m glad I wasn’t stood under that tower when you were up it…lol
Hah! Wouldn’t have gone up there if you’d been anywhere near it sunshine.
Getting up wasn’t the problem, but me walking stick kept slipping off the rungs on the way down.
Meanwhile (and just walking around Albert’s little moan  ), thought you all may like to see the transformation over just 18 days. 1st pic was taken on 26 Aug, 2nd pic taken today. Doesn’t take yonks to re-paint a kite, just motivation.
😎
While this is an interesting thread with some very good low flying pix, I’m not too sure that aircraft that are actually landing really qualify. Similarly for aircraft that are taking off but have been “held down” by the pilot until the end of the runway.
Anybody else feel this way?

Apparently the Prentice and Argosy are in quite bad shape.
First let me say I have no connection with MAM. I go frequently, but as a paying visitor, because they have the only other extant and really accessible Canberra PR.3 in the world! And a friend of mine has brought it back to some semblence of life.
However, over coffees etc, I understand that a single volunteer has been working on the Prentice for a while now but can only do 1 day a week. Why not go along and see if you can help out? I realise you don’t have wheels RL but anybody can go and help out I reckon.
Also, it seems a start was made on the Argosy a couple of weeks back and from what I can see the undercarriage areas are nearly finished. The top and upper surface areas have been inspected I’m told and are in good order. The worst paint area is the leading edges, which of course is all that people see, the rest is just faded (UV action). The fuselage, booms and engines will probably not get done until next year though – again, lack of bodies.
For your interest, the Beaver has been brightened up by “T-cutting” the existing paint rather than a complete repaint – again lack of bodies I think. My understanding is that most of their volunteer effort has lately gone into the Vulcan making it presentable for the recent re-naming ceremony (by Coventry’s Lord Mayor I believe). The tin triangle is now named City of Coventry with a rather natty coat of arms on the nose.
Lightning Nut
What frightning, there’s two.
Les, what are you doing climbing up that rickety old tower you even more rickety and old bugger?
😀
Mostly trying to get down again . . . elegantly.
It looked like this in April. At least they’ve turned the nosewheel around the right way.
I’ve already heard the Eurofighter Typhoon called a Tiffie, also Teabag. Like Teabag myself – seems apt somehow.
Did the DH Vampire have a nickname?
Not really. Strange that as it was prone to setting fire to the grass behind it on a wet start. That is, if you didn’t sit on the tailplane, tip it up and drain the excess.
