Remains from an iraqi Tu-22 Blinder.
Mig-25 and Mirage F-1 behind (note wheels).
Well, it seems that nobody is interesed in the Il-28 found in Syria and the Mi-24´s.
The next pictures are dedicated to my friend Enrique from Mieres, Asturias, España.
Enrique, las fotos son de la base de Tiyas en Siria, que las disfrutes 😉 .
Very thank you for share your unseen before L-39 pictures mm2000.
Regards from Spain.
Hi
L-39 and TU-22.
😮 😮 Tu-22 ¿bombing? 😮 😮 Great rare photo. Very very thank you mm2000.
Nejrab airport Syria. A very interesting place. Il-28, Mig-17 and a lot of syrian Mi-24.
I suppose, that You saw these pic. before, but this thread is a good place for post Iraqi Migs photos, so I do that. Certainly these mig-25 pic. are not rare like pic. posted by mm2000 however, it’s still Iraqi Migs… 🙂
Just one curiosity in the well know photos of Iraqi Mig-25U two seat trainer “captured” by australian commandos. What happened with the ground between photo 2 and 3? Note devastation. No grass, no flowers. Same plane, same starway, same angle, same light, but the ground?
Yes, there is the one known picture of a two-ship formation of Su-24MKs fly-by over Baghdad in 1990. But.. There surely were men servicing and/flying the aircraft, even if for a short while only. Plus the sole abandoned aircraft was standing in Iraq for several years. Nobody ever took any picture?
Ask Okb Sukhoi archives. Fabrication. Painting. Test flights. Training flights. Planes arriving in Iraq. Etc. Perhaps the only archive available. Unfortunatelly for the iraqi side, the bombing of the Defence Ministery building in Bagdhad, and the subsequent fire, destroyed a lot of documents, archives and photos. Only personal iraqi pilots photos, perhaps still survive.
This time an air-to-air views of a Soviet I1-14 Crate and An-26 aircrafts during the ‘interception’ of an HC-130 Hercules aircraft involved in the search and rescue operations for the downed Korean Airlines 747 (KAL-007).
😮 Wow 😮 Once again very interesting photos tbzz. The old Il-14 is cool!
I enclose two F-14 shots, capted from a Tu-16 Badger tail window.
… with the big difference that is not a MiG-23M, but the predecessor MiG-23 vintage 1971. This variant was the first receiving a revised wing with extended leading edge and saw tooth, called wing number 2. The item on the picture was used for airflow studies of the wings, likely to confirm design considerations.
But this all off topic. Hope “Spiteful21” original question about the MiG-24BN is answered already…
Very thank you for the info MIG-23MLD, and sorry for “stolen” the treat.
Regards from Spain.
