The Mi-14 is a ‘civilian’ conversion offered by a company called ‘Konvers Avia’ – as it says on the side.
It was displayed at MAKS about 10+ years ago – but I don’t think anything ever came of the enterprise.
There was another one at Ostafievo when we visited in 2002….

Very thank you for the info Ken. Superb photos in your page. Congratulations.
Regards from Spain.
AFAIK, Ulan-Ude is the PRODUCTION plant
Those photos are probably taken at either Lyubertsy or Panki – both in Moscow.
Mil have a test site there……
Ken
Perhaps you´re right Ken. I dont know the exact location, but still I thing that it was Ulan-Ude. I enclose more shots from the same place. A Mi-26 perhaps some type of fliying crane version?, and a Mi-14P. Note radar on the nose.
Cheers.
In my modest opinion, for today standars, the AC-130 concept was obsolete, and i think that the USAF know this very well. Is a big plane, slow and fliying in circles. An easy target for modern portable sam´s or AA. And a single shootdown or accident becomes in 12/14 deaths (too much people on board of a single combat plane).
But is just an opinion…
Mi-8 Syria
😮 😮 Great find ha27 😮 😮 very thank you for share.

Any story behind hunters with GB and Iraqi marks on pictures below?
Very nice pics tbzz. Perhaps ferry flight to Iraq or test flight in England.
I enclose a picture of iraqi hunter at Dunsfold, after a pre-delivery test flight. Note full iraqi markings (none english).
