Philip – shame you have got to keep her outside! – at least it looks as if you have got some good covers
Is it a big job to take the wings off to get her in your ‘hanger’?
Philip
I saw your beech at bruntingthorpe a few years ago at one of the Rolling Thunder days – it was wingless and engineless and was looking a bit sorry for itself! – I may even have chatted to you about your plans at that stage – but cant remember faces (only aircraft!). From what I have seen on your website it looks fantastic now!! (and thats without considering your working conditions!) I would love to get down to brunty to have another look at some point!
the 18 is one of those aircraft that looks right from every angle – but not with the squared off wings!
shame you cant use a bit of hangerspace!
are you going to be able to get the volpar under cover or will it have to sit out?
cheers – and well done for the fantastic work you have done so far – with fingers crossed I look forward to the first flight next year !
Rich
Wow – your Volpar looks great! – makes the 18 look ‘meaty’
other than the interior and the undercarriage – are the wings extended a bit? – just looking at the shot on the link you just posted – looks like about 2′ extension and squared off??
looking forward to seeing a duet of Beeches next year 🙂 🙂
Your other one looks fantastic! – are you releasing your plans for the scheme for the Volpar – or keeping it quiet 😉
Rich

I met Gail when he came over with the C54 of the Berlin airlift historical foundation in (IIRC) 1998 – He acted as co-pilot in the C54!! (great bunch of people who opperate this lovely aircraft)
Fantastic chap – very warm/kind hearted – it was great to talk to him. His book is a great read as well.
………as Ollie says a sad day for some but a good day for others!
To the guys at atlantic – well done! 😀
is there a lot to do to her before she starts her new life in civy street, or is it just a paper exercise?
it would be great to have a two ship canberra display next year! 🙂
wow – I didnt think they had retracted the wheels yet?? – so was this the first time they had in flight I wonder???
no probs TT!
lots of info on there!
I came across it when looking on propliners – which your Beech could sort of fit into!!
here are some more pics
connie was a little sick on the day so only did a couple of high passes.
sorry Stieglitz – although there were about 6 present I cant find any pics in my collection!
James – SallyB did not fly because the insurance ran out at the end of september. However as of last week insurance is sorted until the end of next year (see Skybolts post of the press release for further details).
Think this happened too late which made it too late/difficult to include her flying in the programme last weekend.
G-ORDY – Im looking into Ratcliffe on the Wreake as Im quite local to it – Sounds very interesting! – I will report back here if I find anything
Hi guys -thanks! I will post some more up soon!. there were some incredible vintage gliders present as well!

Any news on the Connie’s Number 3 engine and insurance?
Are the flyers kept outside still or are they hangered?
As nipper said – yep the D-FMBB did a fantastic display in the hands of Walter at the Hahnweide oldtimermeet. It was a superb airshow – will post some pics when I get around to it if anyone is interested.
