Well spotted – the deliberate mistake!!!!
was there in February – interesting place and the building in Belbao (spelt wrong!) park is fantastic – under the flight path into the airport!
Did you visit Midway? – thought that was fantastic but not too many aircraft on it yet!
….sounds very interesting! – can you wait a while!! – Im off to OZ for two years soon but when I come back will be looking for something to do!! – I have built a wooden sailing dinghy in the past – so can do wood – but I am a perfectionist!!
Tom
– Fantastic pics – oh to have your job!!
who was flying the twin pin at DX last weekend – great takeoff in the wind for its display – AND when she left – in even more wind – loaded!!
Great flying!

that will be the one!!
FANTASTIC news!
All the hard work has paid off at last
Well done to all those involved
look forward to seeing her in the flesh!
Sorry CrazyCavia – I totally missed your thread!
All the best to crew and aircraft for a safe and smooth passage
any ideas to her new life?
Wonder where the other two good engines have gone?? and the spares supply for the MATS group
Didnt the Dutch group change the props – which required a lot of engineering work around the front of the engine – I thought the MATS Connie had the rarer electic ?? props
Great News XM172!!
Look forward to seeing ‘Miss Jo’ in the flesh and hearing the thumps!
all the best for the season!

Isn’t really nice being there when you can only hear engines and see planes – (with no speakers or people around!) – I always remember a very special moment when one morning I arrived for duty at about 7am to be greated by a wonderful summer morning with skylarks (I think!) darting around on the grass – then the P47 and P40 were rolled out ready for a trip up to Elvington – They were having probs starting the P40 so the P47 took off and did a number of gently circuits waiting for his mate – Wow the sound of only the P47 gently flying arouind together with the birds and the weather all made it magical!
oh forgot – a D50 body from Jessops for £309.34 with the SAVE-0250 code!
or £839.95 for a 30D and 18-55 lens (not a good lens!) form Camera King 🙂
Current best price I have seen is £779.95 in the UK for a UK spec/supplied 30D body – or £1089 for a 30D and a 17-85 is usm lens (both Camera King)
Its actually cheaper with the lens than a 20D with the same lens – strange!
best current deal I have found is 30D with 17-85 is usm with 2G extreme III card for £1149!! (Warehouse Express)
Im watching these prices as I have decided to go for a 30D myself after looking at a D70 and D200 – think the focus system is much better/quicker on the Canons than the Nikons – (although I was impressed with the D200)
for the D50 with 18-55 the cheapest Ive found is £389 from warehouse express
anyone know of any better prices – please tell!!
cheers
Rich
think it is something to do with new EU (spit sideways!) noise regs at airports.
nothing wrong with the aircraft
great shame!!
just bumping my own post for the benefit of the early risers down under!
Cheers James!!! – thought all you guys would be in bed at the moment- I picked the wrong time to post!!
Do I need to bring some velcro for the bottom of my shoes – to stop myself falling off??
