These pics are fantastic! keep them coming!

Just noticed one of the SallyB flying shots must have been taken a while later to the rest of them as she is sporting a set of rear guns!

Don Bullock’s Invader brings back some memories – that was one of the first aircraft that got me into warbirds when I was about 9 yrs old. I remember it being imaculate.

    Marry her TT !

I visited Palm Springs in February – great docents (guides) – chatted for ages to a vetran B17 pilot and his wife. Miss Angela is in great condition even has carpet in the cockpit!, and a very interesting ‘air stair’ rear entry door.

They also had a DC3 which looked like it had seen better days but IIRC was due to fly to chino at the time for some work.

Chino’s flying wing was also visiting when I was there.

    Is that really G-FIRE??

I have some more pics of the place if anyone is interested.

…….On another note, if I hadn’t had visited Palm Springs museum my other half would not have applied for a job (unfortunately unlike Mrs TT she doesn’t like planes – so she sat in the car doing a job application!) which she got and we are now here ‘down under’… the rest is history!

Yes – Welcome to the forum! – thats one place on my visiting list soon I hope! Coming from the UK I think we can get spoilt with all the spits and P51’s flying around! – but as I generally prefer things with more than one engine anyhow (personal trait!) – I am really looking forward to seeing a Hudson fly!

I remember watching about 4 B17s taking off from the grass at DX when they were filming memphisbelle

Have not seen Sally take off/land on grass for a number of years
