No problem with labels, you prefer terrorists? fine (though not accurate since not all Kurds are PKK), but it doesn’t negate my argument.
The Kurds living in Turkey are a few millions, not sure what you mean by “if they would only live in Turkey”.
So in the end you agree that even a powerful army (soviets) cannot subdue ANY opponent. There is always cost in money, equipment and human life. It’s hardly as you put it “I can only say to you that the Turkey has the all power and the sources to destroy all its enemies if the war is the only way to do”. I would call it a rather bold statement.
I meant there are many PKK camps in northern Iraq and other countries…
Thats already most of the Kurdish people are not the supporter of the PKK terrorist organisation!
I agree that its a bold statement but i still support it π
For the last 30 years or so they try to subdue the rebel Kurds, but not only with no success, but with the deathtoll constantly rising. One can only imagine what will happen against an organised army with proper navy and air force.
Right now, Turkey enjoys a thriving economy magnetising investments from all around. The last thing investors want is an unstable environment, let alone, war. Not to speak about tourism, which is for Turkey like lungs for a human.
Firstly they are not Kurdish rebels, its worlds accepted PKK terrorist organisation and they gets govermental support from the mostly known “developed countries”!!! And i can say you that its not so hard to kill them if they would only live in Turkey, maybe you know where they have camps and how they survive! So you only compare with apples and pears, if you were right why soviets left from Afghanistan and why Afghanistan is still not stable now? And i can give you too many examples more, so reality doesn’t changes accept or not!!!
I can only say to you that the Turkey has the all power and the sources to destroy all its enemies if the war is the only way to do but now situation is different and there will be no war if they do such mistakes again! So in my opinion this comparison is not fair and it makes me feel as one more Turkey and Greece thread again:)
HΓΌrkuΕ Turkish Primary And Basic Trainer Aircraft Roll Out Ceremony
Congrats TAI and all its members…
It should be Chepkin’s mentioned type-30 engine or a modification of the current engines with “type-30” engine components untill its development ends! According the picture at least engine development going on its way
Obviously, he means it taking off and flying regularly from Zhukovsky.
Yep π
I didn’t quite get you there , are you saying the T-50-4 is not ready for take off yet?
I don’t know if it is ready or not but in my opinion T 50-3 should fly before it π
I don’t think they will firstly fly the T 50-4 when the latest prototype waiting for the targeted flight tests! If there is something that we don’t know they can make a suprise, or not some of the plans should be changed…
if you didn’t know this guy and saw him in the street, would you guess he is greek?
or how about this guy
You are so funny Hotdog π They are Turks and Turkish national basketball team players!!!
I think its better to talk about Turkish or Greek aviation news π
Dear flateric, is it hard to answer about what is the situation about the program? Are the problems solved or should we wait for a long time? Any clear info?
Turkish air force receives upgraded T-38M
Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) has delivered the first modernised Northrop T-38 jet trainer to the nation’s air force in Ankara.
The T-38M avionics modernisation project for the Northrop-built fleet was signed by TAI and Turkey’s Undersecretariat for Defence Industries in 2007. The “Ari” (Bee) effort calls for 55 aircraft to be upgraded, with the work to extend their service lives until beyond 2020.
Key elements of the TAI-designed upgrade include a new central control computer, multi-function cockpit displays, head-up displays, hands-on throttle and stick controls and modern navigation and communication equipment. Suppliers include Turkish firms Aselsan and Havelsan.
TAI will deliver the programme’s first five aircraft: two prototypes and three production examples. Modernisation work will then be continued at the Turkish air force’s Eskisehir maintenance centre, with the project likely to be finished by the end of 2013.
The Turkish air force has a current active fleet of 67 T-38As, as recorded by Flightglobal’s MiliCAS database.
Meanwhile, the air force is already starting to consider its requirements for a next-generation “T-X” trainer aircraft that should enter service during the 2020s, Brig Gen Atilla Darendeli, chief of the service’s training branch, told IQPC’s Military Flight Training conference in London last month

Only good news comes about the program…!
Each new generation of aircraft engines requires an increase in expenditure on R & D
Moscow. April 14. Aviaport. Every new generation of engines requires an increasing amount of labor and financial resources for science, for scientific research (NCI), said Supervisor of CIAM Vladimir Skibin
According to him, a few years ago an analysis of the dynamics of expenditure on science when creating new engines, which showed that the engine of the fourth generation of the total project funding was spent on R & D of 15-20%. When you create a fifth-generation engine of the total funding for the development of the project on R & D accounts for 60%. And according to forecasts, the development of sixth-generation engine for science and technological advance (NTRP) will take more than 70% of the total project costs.
The decision to work together on advanced engines PD-14 and the “product 30” for the fifth-generation fighter has been fully justified. “To date, this joint work is being done with the Permian of” Aircraft Engine “and” NPO “Saturn” – he said.
Responding to a question about the engine of the second stage of development for the future fighter PAK FA program, scientific director of CIAM said that the decision to start R & D over the engine of the second stage was taken over a year ago. Domestic engine manufacturers have shown convincingly that the Russian industry and domestic science in a position to tackle this very complex subject. There was some research done on the basic and defining the parameters and characteristics, the possibility of creating an engine with a very high performance turbine, combustion chamber, a fan. These works were carried out industry trials were conducted in CIAM, some tests were conducted at JSC “NPO” Saturn “and the NPC of gas turbine” Salute. “Was shown the possibility of creating an engine with the given parameters are not inferior to foreign aircraft engine performance. Today, this work has been going on in the OCD. The program, established co-operatives, has been appointed chief designer and the work is quite active.
