    Dear turkish friend, for once, i can agree! PAK-FA in deed! But, go tell that to our politicians… As for the rest, i do see a “war threat” , it’s called “casus belli”. You know, that little thing that Turkey has against Greece officially by parliament vote. Being in NATO didn’t stop us from arriving at the brink of war 3 times since 1974. Why we didn’t arrive? Because your goverment wasn’t ready to pay the price, regardless of the result. I mean, Imia 1996. If instead of Greece, it was the Cypriot army involved, would your special forces leave the western Imia islet? I don’t think so… Turkey doesn’t want an all out war yet. She prefers to scare Greece to give what she wants without having to fight. The war is far far away, i agree, because your military, would prefer something like 5 or 10 to 1 in firepower as odds. As long as we maintain a good firepower, your goverments will have second thoughts before pulling the trigger.

    Oh, they would like to pull the trigger, but for now, they have to be content with barking but not biting.

    A turkish author recollects some quotes of Turkish politicians.

    Interesting, isn’t it? As for Pangalos, i don’t know if he really said that, but even if he did, it’s out of context. Pangalos was of the opinion, that the local mayor shouldn’t have gone to raise the greek flag on Imia without warning anyone and that the press didn’t handle the issue with responsibility. But, the book if meant for turkish audience, so i understand how “unheard of” theories about Greece come up there (the clichè about the greek church is yet another pearl in that).

    Yes, war is far far away. Because Greece doesn’t exercise her full rights and because we still have enough firepower to cause you enough damage, that although some of your politicians dream of the day that you can take “BACK” the Aegean islands, they are not ready to pay the price that will come with them. So, they have to live with the “we can take them back wherever we want” and “Greece can do nothing to Turkey in military matters”, but still, in 1996, you had to withdraw your troops too… Be patient… A 10 to 1 in manpower and 5 to 1 in firepower in some future, will most likely make your politicians more courageous and help them decide to at last solve the Aegean dispute. 🙂 It will be a glorious victory! Even better, a 20 to 1 (like in the good old days of Mehmet the Conqueror). Just to make sure that Greece can really do absolutely nothing to Turkey in military matters”.

    Regards

    In my opinion you have just wet war dreams.And you are professionally seeking support to the Greece at this forum.But this is not the right place.If you would live in Turkey you would understand that the people in Turkey even don’t mind a war between Greece and Turkey because we don’t have an obsession.And at the island dispute all countries politicians does like that statements.It doesn’t make you right.Turkey and Greece can get in a war everytime:)This is funny…

    Sorry, you are hardly going to win points here by using Sarcasm………

    That said, my point is the Russian / Indian Military Partnership has not been to India’s satisfaction in many respects. Further, the PAK-FA and MCA are very close in size and likely capability.

    This is really funny scooter!!!Whay are you comparing?An unbuilt two aircraft?
    And your asess is both have likely capabilties:)

    Reportedly, they have made no such comment.

    ………………

    Russian officials most of the commitments are about India’s biggest support at this aircarft will be composite materials and software!!!

    Do you have a source???:confused:

    There are lots of sources but I can’t post all of them.You should fallow all the news about PAK-FA.Nothing is wrong at my statement.

    In my opinion FGFA will be different more than half from the Russian PAK-FA.So the 10b$ development costs shows it.Two seat means the difference at the whole design of the aircarft, new aerodynamics (a huge design work between India-Russia).And there will use lighter Indian carbon-composite materials at FGFA.(Russians says India is better than them at this technology).And it means this aircraft will be lighter than Russian version.And the most important another thing is avionics.Most of the FGFA avionics will be Indian made or foreign orign.So design, avionics, weapons all specs of this aircarft will be suitable for the IAF requirement. Also Mr. Pogosyan expressed that they will develop completely new weapons for the FGFA together will India.
    In my opinion without engines and Radar whole work will share %50-50 between Sukhoi and Hal.

    I agree, Scooter, there is probably more sense in focussing on the MCA, and making it the multirole fighter it should be. I worry the PAK FA is just going to end up being a Russian project, with no Indian content other than money! The same could be said of the MTA transport project, which has been pretty underwhelming!

    The one problem would be going too far down the Tejas line, with too much emphasis on making it an Indian project, not a fighter project with as much Indian content as possible. I would aim for a patchwork solution, with emphasis on making the project work, as soon as possible. I would probably draft in help from good partners:

    – Get modern engines from whichever type wins the MRCA contest;
    – Use a good Israeli radar, e.g. the AESA EL/M-2052, or from the MRCA;
    – Airframe design can be done with outside assistance, but built in-country by HAL;

    Basically, the MCA should be seen as more than just a spiritual descendant from the Jaguar and Mig-27’s roles. Ideally, it should be able to ultimately replace the Flankers, and supplement both Tejas and MRCA.

    I think your idea is not sensible.Because this aircarft will be fifth gen. aircraft and it should get the most advanced avionics,radar,engine and radar absorbent materials.With the specially designed body.So no one MRCA contest aircarft’s engine is not powerful and has supercruise capability for a fifth gen aircraft and no one Israel radar is advanced enough to fit in an fifth gen.aircraft and no country completely share their experiences with small amounth of money.But avionics can develop nationally or with the support of a foreign country.

    According to Dr Subramaniam( HAL), the programme will aim to develop the MCA and build five to six prototypes at a cost of Rs 5,000 crore. That is approximately the same amount that has gone into the LCA programme.

    It’s costs shows that it will not be a completely fifth gen. aircraft. In my opinion it will be a fifth gen. looking stealth 4+ aircraft.

    Good pictures but can’t beat F-35 and a dozen of Turkish F-16s:))I think Greece should get future Russian fifth gen. aircraft PAK-FA.But for the interim gap Gripen,EF Typhoon or Rafale are the best options.Because most of the countries in a very near future will renew it’s F-16 fleet with new gen. aircrafts. In my opininion together with this war speculations just the arms exporter countries are earning.Because I don’t see a war threat between Greece and Turkey.Both country are Nato members and the war is far far far away.

    In my opinion F-18, Mig 15…21, Eurofighter Typhoon and J10 are the ugliest aircrafts.

    In my opinion 4th generation aircarfts are the most beautiful aircrafts.I mean aesthetic aircrafts.5th generation aircrafts are also beauituful but there is no soul, just sharp surfaces.

    I think the most beautiful 4th generation aircraft is Dassault Rafale.The worst looking 4th gen aircarft is Eurofighter typhoon.And also in my opinion F-18 and Gripen are ugly aircrafts.But in general Rafale and the F-14 are the best.
