Su 35 has nothing comparable to the Storm Shadow/SCALP/Taurus, it has huge bulky non stealthy A2G missiles which are a generation older. This advantage the Gripen also has over the Su 35. And it has no A2A missile which can fully exploit the Ibris.

Yes European manufacturers are very good at developing stealthy missiles for non stealth aircrafts. But its very hard for Russians to develop X-101/102 style missiles for Su-35 even if it has an Brahmos configuration!

Is it expected that it arrives to the Zhukovsky tomorrow?

I don’t understand why people takes so serious about the victory of the Gripen NG against a Su-35 at an promotional video 😀 Would it be compared with the Mig-21 or an F-16? But against everything i believe that its an real advanced bird but don’t think it can be an air superiority fighter 😉

I have heard based on some sources T50-5 is complete and fully manufactured and is undergoing ground tests and inspection is that true?
When is T50-5 likely to make first flight and how many more T50 are expected to be completed by end of 2013?

Even if its manufactured and is undergoing ground tests it takes at least 6-8 months for it takes to the skies but in my opinion these are only wishful thinkings when we check the pace of manufacturing to the new prototypes or the progression style of the program. So in my opinion if they don’t have any special plans for 2013 even we can see no new prototypes or if its a landmark year for the programs development we can see max. two more prototype 😀 These are my opinions…

You wont see entire wing section in Composite.
What you can see is all the different Control surfaces on the wings, they might be made of composite. Perhaps there was a misunderstanding when you read that article medal64?

Its the last time i say that according the source it has new composite wings but if it has or not i can’t know that. But the only thing i can say, i will be really suprised if it has no composite wings…

With all due respect, the reason why you can’t remember that source is likely because it never existed. And if it did, it has been proven wrong multiple times by now, most recently by images like Berkut’s.

I am sure that i read such a news and they were calling the biggest difference of the bird new composite wings and avionics suite. So if it was just slightly modified why they call the bird a new aircraft with only share the appearence of the Il-76. I will also be suprised if its just an modification of old technology still with old techniques 😮

    Thanks

According to a source which i can’t remind now it has new composite wings and many more…

Why can’t they produce a podded Zhuk-AE radar for naval use?….it would be a good replacement for the current illuminators/guidance unit for Shtil-I and other AD missiles on the Russian ships.

As far as i know they already work on this direction.
