You think software and hardware was exactly the same on YF-22 as it was on F-22? And same on X-35 and F-35? I really don’t see any reason to panic.

PAK FA’s seems to be with more usual type of hardware/software at the moment that Sukhoi is familiar with. Testing too many things at once is stupid.

No panic its mostly suprising, i had tought that they had already selected the all contractors long before

Where does it say that?

The news just tells that a contract is in works for IMA, not that there is problem with transition to something that is not yet built.

Ok but its still unknown the contractor of this critical component 😮 As far i see its not a tender for serial production, its a development tender…

But if they have planned for there is enough time for the development of this component there is no problem

Then a question arises what type of avionics testing on T-50 3 ?

And according the news there is a problem with transition to the integrated avionics suite?

Ministry of Industry industrial technology needed to create electronic filling for fifth-generation fighter PAK-FA (T-50). For the development of integrated modular avionics (IMA) combat systems department is ready to pay almost 68 million. Requires the development of data-processing modules that are responsible for the implementation of most processes, aircraft navigation, on-screen display, navigation, and many others – with the exception of the primitive sort of conditioning and landing gear.

In fact, the PAK FA is ready, the first batch of aircraft should, according to the plans of the Ministry of Defense, to get off the assembly line in 2015. Three prototype cars are undergoing flight test program. Therefore the Ministry of Industry is required industrial technology of thin avionics.

Most of the information about the characteristics of the T-50 is kept secret, it is known only that the aircraft meets the fighter of the fifth generation: developing a supersonic speed without afterburner turn, has a low radar visibility, maneuvers with significant loads.

According to the tender documents, the main objective of the project – to move from classical multimachine computer system to an integrated under the concept of IMA.

what platform are you referring to.. the Su-35? hard to revive the project since Pak-Fa seems to be doing well.

Not for today maybe 10 years ago, especially for Mig-29 but if they would offer India the development of Mig 1.44 instead of Su-30MKI may be a good idea 🙂 Sure there is a huge difference at costs but you would have a new platform and i think it can be a good precessor of the Mig-31 with its size

    Beautiful but unlucky bird…:(

It would be nice to revive the project instead of spending the old and less capable platforms…

There is a team from HAL that has been living in Russia and working on the PA-FA for a while now. I think they are primarily working on the radar, composites and testing. Not sure if there will be an India specific 2 seater.

And probably about the software 😉

I remind that a few years ago when Japan was insisting about the purchuase of F-22 it was reported that it would be about 10b$ cost for this version and three of four years of development, i think its the same approach between Russia and India but for India more involvement in the system development and licensed production.

BTW, T-50 is not stealth right now, not because of your damned compressor blades, but because of all the test gear hooked onto it. No, Sukhoi doesn’t know that compressors have a huge RCS and can be used as identification pattern. Why don’t you send them an email?

It was the best ever suggested idea made for SteveDickson 😀 Great idea, just great…

If India doesn’t fund half of the cost then it gets no fighter because without Indian funding Russia simply cannot afford to create its own 4++ gen fighter all on its own.

if how ever you call it its the biggest competitor of the F-22 Raptor 😀 Or gonna be a nightmare :diablo:

    :rolleyes::D:p

there were massive efforts to return to flight again and it would happen prior to centennial…but BOHICA
but those are just subtle glitches compared to what was solved already
so we definitely see her back in the air
50-1 being the only bort number equipped with anti-spin chute and Bogdan saying in interview that high AoA tests to begin soon – there’s something behind it:)

Thank you very much flateric 🙂

the first question they will ask is “who told you that exactly?”

What about you have any opinion about will it join the tests in a near future or no idea?

    50-2 was flying today

Any news about the T 50-1, is it still living? Will it join the tests for super maneuverability?

Way to dodge the point, that being that how do you know it can carry four of these weapons if they haven’t even dry fitted any? You do understand it’s not just weapons in the bays but also the equipment used to release the weapons. I guess not.

Would you think that pilots will release the weapons by their hands…:D
