Blimey! I didn’t realise there were any political persuasions on my ballot papers apart from the SNP!

We’ll see how insignificant the SNP are after independance, when 92% of past, present and future oil reserves around the UK are actually in Scottish Territorial Waters!

    1) Scottish independence will never happen, EVER!!

    2) If you know how Britain negotiates, it does so in a very self interested way, territorial waters will be redrawn from international systems to make most of the oil reserves in British waters.

Here we have Brown, Cameron and Clegg as the centerpieces of ‘British’ politics, and typically no mention of the SNP, the governing party of an entire nation north of the border, whose constituents will be voting in the election.
Disregarded as usual – no wonder more and more Scots want a divorce from the UK!

I assume you live in that northern region. In that case you may well have the SNP on your ballot paper. Only 10% of British people will have that choice, when only 10% of voters can vote for a party, they are very insignificant. I could open up an argument about my beloved Sinn Fein being a governing party in a region of this country but they don’t get much of a mention!

On approach to London Heathrow from the west, one American chap saw Windsor castle and asked the passenger next to him what it was. When he replied “That’s Windsor Castle, it’s where the Queen lives”, he said: “The Queen lives THERE? Why build it so close to the airport?”

Flight EI123 is coming in to land at Dublin after a short hop from LHR. As they approach the runway at Dublin, Captain Murphy comments to F/O Fitzgerald that the runway they have been cleared to land on is awfully short even for an A320, they continue regardless. After touchdown Captain Murphy engages full reverse thrust and slams the brakes on. The nose wheel ends up barely 5 feet from the end of the runway. “Christ that certainly is the shortest runway I have seen in my life” said Murphy. “Tell me about it mate, but look at how bloody wide it is!” replies the F/O

    Aer Eireann Update

Current situation as of 11:50 GMT 20/03/2010

Base: DUB and secondary hub at BHD
    Company Value: $20,276,454
    Stock Rate: $2.03
    Fleet size: 44

    Current fleet:

    5x Airbus A318

    1x ATR 42-600

    3x ATR 72-600

    10x Boeing 737-700

    9x Embraer E195

    16x Embraer E195LR

This week has been a particularly busy week at Aer Eireann with 15 new A/C being delivered since our last regular weekly update (5 A318s, 4 B737s and 6 E195s (4 Standard and 2 LRs)). We decided to add our 5th A318 to the fleet when we realised that Philadelphia was NOT in the south of the US! Our daily profits are now at just over $10,500,000 after you deduct maintenance and salary charges with ~2.1m lbs of fuel being burned daily, which is ALWAYS purchased at $400/1000lbs.

Plans for the coming week are: Monday begin DUB/BFS – LXR,RAK and then save up to gradually introduce transat from DUB – JFK, BOS, IAD, PHL, CLE and possibly ORD will all be served by B752s.

The leadership at Aer Eireann also decided on a more long term aim for the next month or so, being replace ALL B737 flights with A320/21 depending on demand and replace the B752s (which we don’t even have yet) with A332s.

All the best from the Emerald Isle!

There is no better stout or indeed beer than Guinness. It is always my drink of choice St Patrick’s or not, I am just glad of the company in drinking it that only comes one day a year!
