That is something that can be looked at with sadness because with the technology today it is unusual not to be able to get something from a poor slide or negative.
O trust me I do every time I have a dark pic on my memory card that I can restore.
Thanks again. Instead of trusting to memory details from nearly 60 years ago I’ll refresh it with a bit of googling as the thread title has re-awakened my interest in those post-war Supermarine developments.
I have a fly navy book in front of me that states.
S.508 VX133.
S.529 VX136.
S.525 VX138.
S.544 WT854, WT859, WW134.
As the pre-production aircraft.
Ah, thank you. I recall 505 and 509 I think, and I am sure one of those, but perhaps another 5** number had the butterfly tail and another prototype had the conventional fin, and this evolved into the Scimitar.
It was the 529 that had the butterfly tail.
I have imprecise memories of various Supermarine 5*** series at Farnborough before the 528, I think it was, became the Scimitar. I think the 505 had straight wings and the famous butterfly tail.
The 528 was the Swift. The 5*** series of the Scimitar is a bit confusing though.
Very nice, me old flower…………:cool:
jim.
Lincoln .7
The thing is Jim in the years before photoshop I must have put my thumb through hundreds of Kodachrome slides because they were to dark.:stupid:
Working on the theory that a lot of a photograph is about the moment rather than the equipment I decided to have a go at taking a few photos on my now semi worn out HTC sensation phone.
It’s not the first time I have shot raindrops on flowers, but is first time using a mobile, so I was wondering what people think of them. Do they work for you?, Do you like them? Do you ever use a mobile instead of regular camera?.Thanks for looking.
A nice set of pictures, they are dark but that’s what photoshop was invented for:D
The answer to the original question may simply be because it could be done . The mounting allowed the tank to be fitted either way around without modification .
You might be right, if it can go on either way then you can bet someone will get it wrong, I’ve seen car top boxes with the flat end facing forward more than once.:D
Nor should you be, which is why I am a wholehearted supporter of the ‘Yes’ campaign. I’d hate to live in a country where elected MPs from another country voted on decisions in my country that didn’t affect them in the slightest. Moggy
Moggy, is it only me that thinks your being sarcastic and taking the P)ss?:D
Hi All,
Maybe but it is lovely isn’t it.Geoff.
In your world maybe, but not in mine:D
They will probably reinstate the “Auld Alliance” with their centuries old friends the French.
Hi All,
To another kind of Pup that I likeGeoff.
Jesus, I bet that’s hard on the A*se.

[COLOR=”#0000FF”]Nothing so dramatic envisaged,
How do you know this? you wont be the only country that ended up in anarchy after independence, lets hope that if it’s a no vote the politicians that voted yes will get the same treatment that you want for
the ones that voted no to independence.
[QUOTE=Al;21155
Me, I can’t wait to see all the ‘No’ politicians in the Scottish government, who many Scots will deem traitors and Quislings after independence, try to ingratiate themselves back into power again!
And if the people of Scotland vote ‘No’, I think that they will deeply regret it in time,.[/QUOTE
So what are you going to do to these so called traitors and Quislings (A person who collaborates with an enemy occupying force) hang them from a lamp post, shave there heads, or just make life so unbearable for your fellow country men that they vote yes? you need to get it in to your head that not all Scots want independence, I can see blood being spilt over this.
