….if only
Shades of the ‘Red Baron’ around Paris:D during the 80’s.
Did the French Airforce ever catch him?
…. It would be fantastic of this story did turn out to be real:D
There have been so many stories of Aircraft being burried or hidden away in the Outback. Maybe there is substance to the ‘rumours’…..
😉 I’m with you Moggy on this…
Just what does happen to the Aircraft that get sent out of the UK due to ‘irregularities’ with paperwork etc.??….. they get shipped to Aus, painted black and flown by frustrated (by rules and reg’s) Airshow pilots;) 😀
Just waiting now for the reports of the all black P40:D
….Vulcan;)?!?
It seems that I’ve stirred things up a bit!…
I think we should go back to the original thread folks, which was I believe, the Hurricane:) 😀
Steve: thanks for the input, it was somwhat a suprise to me aswell!. The source for this sighting is infact an employee with DLO at Wyton, so should know what it was. I do know that there are frequent flypasts and visits, since BBMF supplies are dealt with there. IWM are still using one of the Hangars. There is also a Civvy flying club and microlights operating from another Hangar.
A ‘Buc’ is listed to appear at RIAT, so how is it gonna get there? it is static, maybe just a cockpit section??
Leg-ends? well there must come a time when parafin burners are part of the show.
The mystery goes on, we’ll all just have to wait and see…..:D 😉
I heard that a Buccaneer may make an appearance… apparently seen testing at RAF Wyton recently, (in company with a Hurri?) although not by myself.
Steve Young: Can you shed any light on this, since you must pretty much live under the flightpath?
you might find this useful…

there are a fair few different types of aircraft from these folks. They can be built in you r garage/lounge;) and made from a wooden fuz contoured with foam and glassfibre.
P40?….
Going with the WAR FW190. Other possibilities being WAR SeaFury or Yak(11?).
… 388th on tour?:D
Found these… I don’t recall from which site.
see more about this on PPrune….
Have just seen on teletext that two Spanish pilots have been traced for the same stunt, but with fixed wing… they got off with a warning from the CAA… no ban, no fine……
I wonder how many warnings the CAA will hand out….
Nevermind the bulldog clips, she looks strangely glistening, as if she’s been covered with Baby Oil…:D
What would Mrs Moggy say!..
..or is it Mrs Moggy?;)
