In that case, if my friend Google is to be believed, Biggin Hill.
I guess Northolt.
BTW, as I may have mentioned before, Google is my friend. 😀

Kev, I’m sorry to hear they haven’t replied. The only time I’ve ever contacted Cosford was by email, shortly after our forum visit there. I pointed out my disappointment with the catering facilities which in my opinion were rubbish compared with the previous arrrangements. You’ll be amazed to hear I expressed my views on the new building too. 🙂
I had a very pleasant reply within a couple of days.
The nose does look familiar, like it’s on upside-down, but not enough to take a stab at it.
Thanks Kev, again.
As I’ve said before, to the point of boring everybody senseless, I firmly believe the new building is a ridiculous design and entirely wrong in concept.
However, am I right in thinking that because of it, everything at the “top” of the site is effectively trapped behind it? I don’t suppose any museum moves exhibits around just for fun, or to confuse people, but the opportunity would be nice.
IMHO it’s expensive for what is supposed to be there.
Having said that, if the weather wasn’t so abysmal we’d have gone anyway. It hasn’t stopped raining here since the early hours and the forecast for Duxford appears similar. I can cope with entrance fees that are a bit steep, or getting wet, but not both. As my mate said, it’s a lot of pennies to not see any flying and get wet.
It’s still pi$$ing down here and we’ve abandoned the idea.
See you at the Autumn Airshow.
The Met Office weather forecast has now been revised to heavy showers – both days. 🙁
Time to persuade the bloke we’re supposed to be taking it’s not a good idea I think.
We’ve been planning on going for the last couple of months but I’m now seriously having second thoughts.
Admittance and diesel alone, even allowing for the FOD discount, is still going to be around £75 and I’m trying to convince myself it’s worth it. The weather forecast isn’t doing anything to help.
I don’t do football/theme parks so that doesn’t count. 🙂
Knickers then. 😀
Something I’ve said? 🙂
I looked the Met Office website a few minutes ago and the forecasts for Saturday and Sunday are much the same now.
We much prefer not to have 4 hours driving on a Sunday with work the following day so we’ll stick with Saturday.
Sally B, I never went there for a show so a pure guess – West Malling?
Thanks for the tips.
I suppose I should have thought of Mek Pak, Slaters who make it are only about 10 miles away from here. No local model shops that keep though, of course. 🙁
