I know the Mason Williams version, a surprise hit in 1969-ish but I think it’s the only one I’ve ever heard.

AFAIK, I’ve got all of Clapton’s recordings but I’ve never heard of him doing Classical Gas. What’s it on?

I agree with most of what Steve said, but not the bit about DC racing.
After McLaren (and the other teams) had been told in writing by Michelin that their tyres weren’t safe I don’t see they had any option but to withdraw.
With today’s hearing I believe Mosley and his cronies have just signalled the end of Formula 1 and confirmed the GPWC will go ahead in 2008

Greetings
I posted a week ago about no Luftwaffe pilots at Flying Legends 2005!
Can anyone tell me the truth behind the following appearing at Aces High Wendover 9th/10th July and not at Duxford?
OBERST HAJO HERMANN
MAJOR GUNTHER BAHR
LEUTNANT HUGO BROCH
LEUTNANT WALTER SCHUCK
GENERALLEUTNANT GUNTHER RALLBack in December 2004, at his house, Gunther Rall confirmed to me that he would be at Duxford for Flying Legends!
One trusts that we are not at the behest of political correctness…funny…I thought that the Luftwaffe was a major WW2 protagonist, but I could be mistaken!
Wasn’t it suggested you went away last time you tried to stir this up?
– I may be in shorts and sandals. If you find the goartherder and the chap stood next to him is wearing shorts but not sandals that will be Robbo.
On second thoughts I may stay at home and watch horror films…
I might have been able to play with modes on my Olympus C-300Z if I hadn’t dropped it, at Duxford, about 3 months after I bought it. The broken screen doesn’t help with menu access. In the default mode, the lag is terrible and occasionally it decides not to take a picture at all.
Time to cut my losses I think.
I’ll be at the Red Lion on Saturday evening unless somebody MUCH bigger than me gives me a convincing reason for not going.
Assuming a favourable weather forecast, we’ll be there on the Saturday.
“Vogon Poetry” 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀
I’m not quite convinced about the award, some of the thirties French designs were truly gruesome.
I know I said anybody’s entitled to an off day but there are limits. That’s horrible!
I’m relaying what’s said in the Bristol book although I believe I’ve seen it elsewhere too.
My understanding is the propellor disc, and presumably point of thrust, is much further forward, relative to the undercarriage and control surfaces, making the normal swing even worse.
