Just re-starting this thread, i noticed the two DC4`s / C54`s today, but i was on the other side of the airfield.

Is it easy to access the other side of the field to get some pictures? How do you get on with security etc, and crossing the active runway?

Have not herd of one coming back to the UK – Great Idea though.

It seems a dreadful shame that so much work has been put into the manuscript that you have, with no interest from publishers. Had you tried any publishers in the UK & the rest of Europe. I know the type still has a following in Belgium & Germany, both of which were served from the UK in the 1970`s.

I noticed that a German Company is offering a recently released model in the later BAF livery….

Last time I saw this aircraft it was intact at Southend as CF-EPV.

Have you tried to buy it in the past David ? I asked back in June, and a third party said that the owners would be more than willing to part with it.
