Started as an Trainee in 1980, couple of boring years on Avionics, then onto Engines in the hanger, which 24 years later was still the best job i ever had! Not on Carvairs through, they had all long gone except FW ( Big John). Heralds and Viscounts for me plus 6 months on the Belfast which was nice.

To post pictures reply to a thread using the “Go Advanced” button under the reply box. Then type what you want to say. Then a bit further down you will see a section “Attach Files” click on the box here “manage attachments” browse your file from your pc and click on upload. Thats it, give it a go its easy.

There was and still is i believe a building opposite the old BAF Engineering Hanger. It was know in the 80`s as the “Tyler Building” and was a long storage building, it was then, and probably not now, full of Carvair Spares. 😮

Can someone tell me what the difference is between the 30D and the D30?? or are they the same….been offered a Canon D30 Digital SLR Camera & 28-105mm Zoom lens for £200 ish !

Its been reported this morning that his condition is “Stable” which i guess is better than last nights “Critical”.
