Only 105 in the UK IIRC, every time I see it a twinge of sadness gets me, would make an outstanding static but is there enough money in the pot for this mamoth task?.
John.
She’s in need of a good clean and rub down, always amazes me how small she actually is.

All three first prototypes of the Sepecat Jaguar survive in some shape or form acording to the demobed website.
As does three of the Avro 707’s, one in Australia and the other two, one in Manchester and one in Cosford.
The BAe EAP (Eurofighter) is listed at Loughborough university.

The Science Museum has a few gems in it, Shorts SC.1 and the flying bedstead spring to mind (sorry couldn’t resist lol).

VN799 crashed on aproach to Sutton Heath in August 1953, she was ‘struck off charge’ so there may have been some salvaged remains?.
T.4 WT478 was last listed as in open storage at RAF Wyton in 1992, not sure what remains of her today.
There is a survivors list on this site but not sure if it is bang up to date…….

Ah well that explains something!
I passed what I think was the middle cockpit being towed by a Silver Land Rover Discovery near Oxford last Sunday evening.:p
Out of curiosity what is it … a bit embarrasing as many years ago I was a Wing aircraft recognition champion in my ATC days … my gut feeling was a Canadian CF100 but that doesn’t make much sense to my mind as the nose is a bit narrow and I’m sure the intakes are wrong.
Help!
It was the Swift cockpit returning to Boscombe Down ;).
John.
Not much to add to Doughnut’s pictures, just a couple from me…..

The British weather tried it’s best to end the day but nothing a true Brit can’t deal with, we threw some tarps on and waited it out….

Minutes later the sun came out and the show carried on…

A big thankyou to all those involved, it was nice to meet a few people and put faces to names, hopefully next year I will be displaying some stuff too.
Regards,
John.
Everett Aero has a Jag Gr.3 in a similar condition to this Shar for just 7.5K.
In fairness thier Shar is almost complete, engine and full cockpit.
John.
I will be there both days as aircraft guide/cockpit opener, I will bag a few pics of her for you.
Anyone sees me there come give me a shout (6’3″ doofus with a black ‘Lakes Lightnings’ baseball cap on).

John.
