    Landraver

It is the Yokosuka MXY7 Ohka piloted bomb on display at Cosford.

Flying it was ok but the landing part was tricky:D 😀 .

IIRC they were rocket powered and also there were plans to drop them free fall from a bomber 😮 .

Sorry I have not posted sooner but I got back late from work last night (2330) to find the FP camera sat on my kitchen table, I will snap my shot and post on before the weekend.

Thanks TT for accurate posting and Trumper is next on the list after me.

From the BBC news web site this morning it looks like the Turbo-Beaver has run cockpit first into the front fuselage of the F100F Supersabre, other than that there is very little damage to the rest of the TB, she is still sat on complete undercarriage.

My thoughts and sympathies go out to the pilot’s family.

Classic ad-lib idiocy from the reporter who had no clue at all what he was talking about, gave me a giggle with lines like…..

When were you aware there was trouble?

You then took the decision to come onto the grass?

    😀 😀 😀 😀

Looks like a very good replica, after this false start how did her flying career develope?

    Regards,

    John.

Wow! that was quick, thanks wwrsimon, I suppose the sensible place would be to fit one in the radome as a target plane would have no use for the radar.

Hunter outside looks distinctly “modified”! A bit short, and a fin that kind a looks erm, homemade….:)

Loos like a complete mock up to me, airfield decoy maybe?.

Undercarriage is totaly wrong, fuselage way to fat, tail all mushy and the canopy is definatly fabricated from old coat hangers!!, only the wings look like they could have come from an old airframe:D .

This guy proves exactly why there is a high portion of Americans that are truely dumb, it summed everything up when he opened up his ‘world clock’.

Exactly what the infantryman needs when fighting of forty insurgents singlehandedly with pepper spray whilst waiting for the blackhawk to come and save his sorry ass.
