Another 10 from Tegel.
Oops wrong picture it should have been this one.
Fred.
How about the new Prestwick Management incentive for Dispatchers to get aircraft out on time, too long a delay and they get strung up underneath the nearest aircraft by the thumb for 30 minutes. Ouch.
Hello Martin,
How are you I see you are still taking plenty of nice pictures, here & Airliners etc.
My Edinburgh visits have dried up for the time being so maybe see you at Glasgow or Prestwick some time.
Fred.
P.S. The date I put in this thread should of course been the 30th of July and not the 20th (Duh).
The Greece Airways aircraft is SX-BLX which is an ex Jordanian A320 and completely white apart from it’s registration (yuck).
The lack of a paint scheme is refleted in their being only 6 pictures of it on Airliners so far and none of them are from it’s frequent visits to Glasgow and Prestwick.
Fred.
Hello Kevin,
My Globespan 767 shots turned out okay when it arrived back from it’s training flight considering I took them through the fence wire at an angle, what a nice bonus it was pot luck it turned up coming back from Donacaster just as we were about to leave.
I see you got the reverse thrust water spray from side on which looks good.
Fred.
Looks like I missed a gathering of folk at Crash gate 3 today, I got as far as the Airport back road when the Israeli Jetstream was on short finals and I pulled off onto the pavement to take a landing shot from below (rare for me) but once I saw it was all white my camera stayed in the bag and I did a 360 and headed home.
Would like to have had a chat with you all Kevin, Damien and Allen so maybe next time.
Fred.
It was on BAA departures to leave at 1220 but went 20 minutes early so I missed it by less than a minute, it was dreadfully dull weather and went up very quickly being empty so I would have been a struggled with it anyway. Oh well.
Talking of very dull weather this was the Volga Dnepr AN124 departing at Prestwick on Sunday 5th of Feb, how’s this for light at 12pm.
Excuse the logo on this one I have used my web site shot of it since it was handy.
Fred.
It is a long distance shot from the Footbridge so I put my 1.4x Extender on the 100-400mm for it leaving since I knew it would be quick up with only 60 passengers onboard heading back to Orly.
Fred.
Here is today’s Air France 747-400 at Edinburgh from a different angle arriving at 11am and departing at 1-15pm.
Fred.
To the left of the Crash Gate at the Loganair Hanger where the AMEC compound is and it was with a Canon 100-400mm at the full 400mm.
Fred.
Wot’s this Peter did you miss the FAF A310 departing at 11am.
I went back later on for the T Cook which sat on a good Stand for a night shot, well dusk shot really as the lights at Glasgow are those horrid yellow caste ones so lousy for complete darkness.
Fred.
Emirates came in late at nearly midday but did a quick turnaround and left just after 1-15pm so not bad time keeping for a change, no pictures from me today since I shot it on slides.
I hear the 777-300 has been leaving late regularly due to the extra freight capacity over the A330 with the extra time it takes to load it all on.
An A6- BBJ came in after 3pm presume for a night stop but don’t know where it parked.
Fred.
Hi Kevin,
I waited about at Crash gate 3 for that nice Icelandair after you left, I see there is still nothing on Airliners for it in this scheme so it must have been done quite recently.
Being that the flight was three hours late arriving this unusual one must have been subbing for what should have been doing the flight.
Fred.
I’ve been keeping my eye on it since PIA started and the problem is that it goes to a dedicated Stand making it extremely difficult to get any night shots of it.
I guessed this was going to happen and sure enough it has parked on Stand 29 every time as far as I know, the same one that Emirates uses during daytime and it’s on the inside of the International Pier so there are no views of it from Landside.
