Oh, good – my next question was going to be who’s cooking your supper??

Oh, dear – don’t be confused!
“Said Hurricane flight” ? The one purporting to reach 39,000′? We all struggled to excel!
If yes, then yes.
And I accept that my entry was over enthusiastic!!
Seen before, I know, but love this one I took on the way up – http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v164/photo04/RAF2/nolt40.jpg

You mean the one that did NOT get to that height??
Thanks – thought so.
So back to the SOP 35,000′ on that patrol line.
All I know is that it was B++++Y cold – so much so that I failed to switch to reserve tank & had to return to base.
At least I was the first to trial electrically heated gloves . Luxury!!

Oh, b****r – that was a misprint for sure?
Now answer my question, clever clogs!!

Help, please – I just get a list of links in Retroair..??
Only just home after a spell in hospital. If there’s anything further you need, let me know?

Good read.
No wonder I had a problem hitting the target!
Even with 8 x .303.
Finally – after 2 hours increasingly impatient wrangle – I’m allowed to post again. #####!
Just wanted to say thanks, Mark, for the great photos. A chum alerted me that they were heading this way – Little Rissington – so I rushed out with camera and………….too low, man, too low. Well – we’re 650′ & the cloud was not much above, so – not a sight!!
Near neighbour – great chap.

PS May I put your photo on the BofB forum?
All I know is that this is how he got me – the balding B****R!!

Too close, man, too close!!
Armour, Adrian?
No – it hit the starboard fuel tank. BBQ!!
Thanks for that, Adrian.
Story? As a good friend on this Forum well knows, this dug in – on fire – near Chidham on 16 Aug 40 .

I’m only relieved to think that it was this chap that caused the happening.

The German one? A mix-up? Certainly a number of Ju87s went down nearby as a German photo-recce photo shows..

If it has a Dinghy with it, surely SAR rather than SOE?
