    Kinda reminds me of World Airways!

    It would be nice to see OneWorld or Skyteam come up with something, after all, what have they offered?

    Yes, that was a bit dissapointing lba. I did kinda expect to see 2-3-2 when I got on, but no.

    Other than that, still think Monarch are a mighty fine airline.

    I thought ATA had a big 737-800 fleet too? Whenever I’ve looked at booking one of their flights its always been op’d by a 738. Maybe AirTran will be pleased to get some 738’s in the deal as they start their own 737 fleet?

    Its very sad news. They were always a colourful sight back in the days when they operated MCO-BHX-MCO, via Gander on the L1011. They don’t seem to have done any of those flights for ages though.

    How could you refuse the offer of a portable DVD from upper? :p You should’ve asked for a massage instead. 😉

    Nice of them to offer compensation anyway.

    Did you at some point take a look at the back of the plane when the curtains were open? Does it seem that long from the inside as well?

    Well, I would have accepted the DVD but it was only just over an hour left of the flight and with breakfast on its way out, it didn’t seem worth it!

    Yes, I did venture into Economy to use the loo’s, it is ABSOLUTELY massive down there too! Upper was from doors 1 to 2 and there was hardly anyone in there, shame really!

    I just remember where I saw the Monarch Premium seats (that vile green upholstry), it was in Iberia’s 757!!!

    Boy do they need a new livery, and new interior too! I think we’d all bein shock if they ever did it!

    I had a word with the Captain of my flight back from EDI today (reprt soon) and he said that bmi wanted to get rid of the ATR asap! lol

    Doesn’t surprise me bmi-star. They spent so long marketing themselves as being an “all jet fleet” when I was there so it must be dissapointing to have to use an ATR. They always used to think there fleet was the best Regional Jet fleet as it was all jet.

    Lets see how long it takes to certify the EMB135 into LCY then shall we?
