K9927, K9871, K9868, K9866 could be candidates?

Not sure if this has been linked before?…

Wow…thanks for posting. Amazing what is still out there.
Yes certainly in the Malta area. They think they have located the wreckage of the Sea Gladiator, Charity. and the Blenheim will be raised too i am led to believe too.
I hadn’t heard they had found the Gladiator – great news if they have. Any more info?
Yes, Lufthansa warned… not even a 787 operator. The Article calls it a 787 problem yet reports is as an engine issue which it clearly is…shocking reporting
Lufthansa have 747-8’s so are affected by the GENX engines fitted.
The first Spit in the picture seems to have the cowl off and the oil tank…

Any more news on the identity of G.15-75?
Thanks Mark, very interesting!

Fascinating article .. Well at least the collective knowledge of Spitfire c/ns at Chattis Hill has moved on
Can we use the B Serials list to prove the “missing Tr9” ever existed ? Can’t remember all details at moment and not got access to my records

Is this the thread you are thinking about:

looks nice to me. although it’d be nice if it had the 787’s engine.
any comparison of the looks of the 787 and a350?
You mean with the nacelle cut outs?
Engine wise it has a further step on from the 787 with the Trent XWB being the most fuel efficient engine currently flying.
Hi Cees,
Do you have any more photos of the bit in the 2nd photo?
Andrew
It is a Mosquito centre section, that used to be located in a yard in Kalafrana, where the pic below was taken:

Did anything more happen with the seabed survey work off Malta a few years back? They found a few aircraft including a Sea Fury which looked to be in good condition?
But this is a Rekkof, not Fokker – 2 seperate companies I believe.
Also, apart from the fuselage, what would be common? New wings, avionics, engines – still a lot to be proven from a customers perspective.
Anyone have any further news on this buried aircraft story?
Thanks.
Would love to see a 202 or 205 fly, beautiful aircraft – unfortunately there don’t appear to be any possible candidates for a restoration.
