    Verrrrry nice… 🙂

Where did you get that snow from?

There’s a nice snow shop nearby where you can get all your snow needs at reasonable prices. The staff are a bit cold though.

Some good shots in there Jamie. I like the Swissair shot.

Judging by the position of the sun in the first couple of shots you were round there very early. And judging by the inclusion of bits of fence in some shots you were on the FIRST mound ?

What’s that behind the XL 737 ? Is it a 146 departing or something ?
I haven’t been to LGW for ages. What’s ot like at that spot at 08 … as
in is it easy to avoid getting bits of fence in your shots ? I seem to remember
a DC10 being around 50-60mm side on from there. These were at times when
we were lucky to be able to shoot through the hole for the lock on the gate
as there were no other photographers there.

As for the car park at the pub. Is it possible to reach the pub without a car ?
Is there any public transport goes bye the place where the pub is ?

Nice ones! I like snow shots. EZY one is great, and also the BA 757 (Kev, it’s your trademark…. always manage to get some great BA 757 shots).

Good show Rab. I like the John Lennon 757. Normally I see it on the remotes when I pass going to work. Often with something in front of it!
Don’t suppose you know when to expect it moving ? I mean, I can’t come down and hang around in CASE it moves (that work pallaver gets in the way).
Pity it is peeling a bit around Johnny boy’s napper.

Ah the good old days! 😀 Fantastic photos there. I guess they were taken from the Hotel Fenix? Never stayed there but I had a couple of trips to the Emmentina…sun, bar, swimming pool and exotic aircraft flying past…it doesen’t get much better than that!!

    Cheers

Yup. All from Fenix except the Gulf Air which was taken a bit further along the road from there (in direction of Athens), and the El Al & Arava which were taken round the perimeter.

Great shots, brings back some memories

You didn’t happen to get 4X-JUF as well did you? think i was there the same time as you but in the Emmantina,Chris

Not sure if I have decent shots of JUF too. If it was sitting decent then I will have. I remember that there were 3 Mohawks through at the same time.

Lovely shots! The Tristars and the 1-11 (?) certainly look good! 🙂

Yup. The Cyprus one is indeed a 1-11

Ouch! But how do you crash an islander ? They just want to stay in the air. It must have hit a hillside in low visibility or the likes.

Nice KLM shot, Fun Loving Criminal !

Where did you shoot it from ? Looks like it is turning to line up on 27L ?
Gone are the days of standing down by the electricity sub station for 27L departures. Hmmph. I sort of got fed up with LHR after that as I’m nbot too keen on landing shots where you are looking up a bit.
