Thanks for the title edit, Grey Area. You’re a gentleman and a scholar.

A330 .. glad you like the Egyptair. I was happy at getting to shoot that. On the first day I also shot it but not so good as I was quickly having to swap from getting the important shots (slide camera) and then getting what I could with the digi … on a rolling take-off .. so it ended up squint. So, good that they gave me another chance.

Manston… The A340 was taken from that pyramid. This was with the Kodak digi with up to 12x optical zoom (430mm). It wouldn’t have filled the frame with the real camera and lens up to 300mm. Good place for you guys with digi SLRs to shoot the wide bodies going off 26R though.

Salzburg coming up soon … this morning

Excellent salvage of a manky day. I like the KLM ploughing its way through the atmospheric quagmyre.

Ocean Airlines looks like something out of a cheap Hollywood hijack movie

Yeah, it does look a bit Hollywoodish. Good disaster movie possibilities there. It HAS to be on a special charter flying competition winners to a paradise island in the middle of the shark infested South Pacific or Indian Ocean. Scriptwriters …. get the ball rolling !

Good to see it’s a good BLUE NOSE though 😉

Couple of good shots there Scotty. NO excuse for not making it to the south side on a nice sunny winter day like that!! Shame on you.

I see that your first time seeing a Dragonair lump 400 was also the captain’s first time seeing you…. so he gave ye a wee wave.

    > been Wii’d out my face lately (Guitar hero overload!!)

Well, I suppose a drummer has to try and acquire musical skills SOMEWHERE.
    Hehe.

    See ye

Nice MD and sitting in a nice place. Were you using steps for the pic or standing on something else ? I see the low sun has let you get yourself and your friend in the last photo 🙂

Haven’t been to CDG since 2004 so I need to back over again soon. Oh, and all of the morning on the two days I was last there it was misty and cold with the sun not burning through until the afternoon.

Nice selection of shots there Rab. I like the Aurigny and the Zoom setting down. BTW, for the side-on landing shots were you on steps to get above the top of the fence ?

I was thinking of popping down for it hoping that it would clear a bit, but then I found out it had stopped its training circuits soon after 1 so I didn’t bother. Just as well, as the wx just got worse.

Interesting angle from north side of 31 approach with the short in the background.

I like that last show … it looks like there is a runway in the sky. Cloudbase from Captain Scarlet.

Alright for some, DJ. Wouldn’t mind a flight in it myself … if someone else foots the bill. I’ve never taken off or “landed” in water …. except when it’s been raining and the runway is WET WET WET.

Season may actually be finished by now. The idea was to keep going until end of November then hibernate until February.

Give them a buzz and see if the season is over yet or if you still have a couple of days. Number is 0870 242 1457

Gid show Scotty. Good getting the Globespan Air India landing. Were you expecting it and waiting for it to land or were you just lucky ? I popped down on Saturday to see if it would be back but … nawwwww, so that was me stuck having to go to the pub with full kit. Caught it on Sunday sitting on stand from inside the terrible. No bad but as luck would have it the generator was parked covering the nosewheel. Ah well.

Nice shots Rab. I was somewhere near the back at the window on G-EZEK there. Atleast I’m assuming thats the CDG flight you’ve captured.

    Gaz

You be posting some CDG shots in then Gaz ?
