The B24 at Hendon is the one that was on display at Cosford. Moved to Hendon when the Wellington went to the Conservation Centre at Cosford.

    Roger

    Thanks Roger 😉

To everyone — Im also looking for some information on something that happened at Woodbridge Suffolk in WW2. ‘My sisters son is doing history project on WW2 incidents in the area the one he is stumped on is locals say that a B17 ditched its bombs over the river Deben near Melton which has resulted in the shape of the river today. The only info i can find is the 493rd Bomb Group B-17 #43-38568 which ditched at Ramsholt with all bombs on board.
If any one knows anything it would be good if you could PM me or post

    Cheers 🙂

For thse who check out the TFC diary our last update was 24th February HERE: http://fighter-collection.com/cft/tfc-diary/

The software that ports updates from the diary to Bookface doesn’t readily do so with pictures so we have disabled it until we find a solution.

With the excellent coverage here on Flypast we don’t always see what we can add during the quiet months in the hangar.

As and when information is officially confirmed we will let you know as soon a s we can. Judging by the forward sales of tickets including Gold Pass you are all expecting a vintage Legends 🙂

I think that the issue that was being discussed by me and others was more to do with the facebook page. It would seem that Legend enthusiasts are asking on other company pages ( Manhatten Dolls, Red Bull & The Horseman) and they say they are coming and yet nothing from you guys, i know its to early to hint or even say which aircraft are expected bearing teco’s but it would only add more anticipation if you confirmed that these acts had been booked. I understand about being hectic with winter maintenance work etc etc but when we see striped down Gladiator, Wildcat and bearcat and comments as to ready to fly etc etc it would be good to here what exactly is happening. As i hinted it wouldn’t take long for an office type bod to say do a weekly update even if it was just a one line’er.
Now im back at work i shall be there Friday, Saturday, Sunday in July please ask Stephen to book the yellow blob that was elusive last year ! 🙂 😉

If you ask me, yes they are dragging behind with updates.

Others will say they have better things to do than to fiddle around with the internet.

    😉

yes but how long does it take for an office PA ish person to do an update 5 minutes at the end of each week ? even if its nothing than nothing to report this week winter maintenance continues on etc etc :diablo:

according to their facebook page https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=488308334570483&set=a.214647345269918.56687.168034663264520&type=1&theater Red Bulls are returning in July so that’s them and the Horseman supposedly confirming along with the Manhattan Ladies. A veritable drip feed again before anything from the TFC.
Is it me or are the TFC becoming left behind by social media with updates there last was 27th January

Anyone remember the Spitfire Diamond Jubilee Show in 1996.
Weather was breezy if I recall but Duxford closed the gates at 12 as the airfield was full up. Can only remember this happening twice in my years attending. Posting photo of back page of programme.

wasn’t that the year that the BBMF flew in formation with other Spitfires hadn’t they been given special dispensation to do so ???
