Good Lord…
That would have been fun to trim…
Hmmm Spit bits..
First time I,ve ever heard the word junk and Spitfire in the same sentence…:D
Tail leading edge rivets. Will get back to you on that one… :p
A memorial thread…
Maybe a thread for Brian previewing his life and times, stories, jokes he shared, anything to remember why he loved these old planes we adore so much.

Our good news is the drawings for our formers have been sent off to the lazer cutters..I feel like bashing some tin soon…
Wow…Not a small thing to lose
Thanks for that. They are a great find.Going off topic there are some German Stug tanks sitting in defence on the Romanian boarder if anyones interested.Just gotto find the website again..
Good question…
We are in the same boat.Depending on it,s construction,etched,embossed,stamped..
Embossing I,ve heard strip the paint, repaint black then “carefully” take the black off the raised parts with fine wet and dry or with thinners on a cotton swab. Also would work with stamped..Ohhh and about half a bottle of scotch to relax the nerves while you do it…;)
One place comes to mind..
Fortress Rabual was renown for it,s high AAA content. Most bombers on low level flight had the nose and tail gunners trained on taking out targets of chance on the ground.IIRC Guy Gibson did that same thing, supressing the AAA while another Lanc went in for the attack.
Nice….
Great start..Thanks..
Wheeeeeeeeee!!!!
Congrats to the guys who have all worked on her,I,m just stoked another V is on the way up:D Thanks for the update Mark….;)Been following this rebuild for many a year.A long journey but the rewards are priceless.Hope we get to see her in the flesh one day…

To me this pic is everything..Pure inspiration and a hope that we can achieve..one day…:D
Different…
Oooohhhh Shiney!!!
Cheers Mark12…Nice one..
BFP panel…
There are two types of BFP panels on British aircraft, the round topped ones and the rectangular ones.Pretty much universal and I think some Spits had the round topped ones.I reckon they look better anyway.Plus there were a few different contractors who constructed them so thats why you see differences in the panels construction.:D
