Re; Avi
Wow and we thought we were crazy.Good luck with hunting down the 109 drawings.AFAIK only the Messerschmitt foundation and a few select others have access to them so you scored well if you got a few.We use primarily ProDesktop which is a students version of ProEngineer. Also check out this guys work.Inspirational stuff..http://me-109.br.sites.uol.com.br/maine.htm
😮
A favourite..
“Don,t ever tell me the odds!!”…Han Solo,..Empire Strikes Back.:D
Wow.
Dave you really need to update your webpage…:p
Mate I would love to see your workshop one day..
Kuvi=Ju88 Dive bomb site IIRC and the Mg15 tool set.Magic.
Good to see your flat out still on the Spit.Time is hard to find sometimes.
Denis yes please take it easy. There are easier ways of flying higher than by letting ole Saint Peter get on the act.
A while ago..
Wing Commander Bobbie Gibbes passed away about four weeks ago as well.An Aussie larrakin and legend. One of the original pilots who flew Black 6 soon after it,s capture when he was in 3 Squadron, then came home to command 54 Squadron after Bob Foster and ultimately command number one Fighter Wing defending Australia.RIP and Saint Peter better watch the liquor cabinet.
Spit nuts…
Anyone who has anything to do with building a spit knows the cockpit is probably the hardest bit to build. From F11 back it is a whole lot easier. The wings are time consuming and the main spars are the biggest hurdle to overcome.Tail is just fancy metalwork.:dev2:
For RAF Mussies.
Try Italy 44,45..Number 3 Squadron RAF.;)
Noice!!
But for 8 gees??Would the combined parts be worth that?I,m not knocking the work,it looks great and you can,t tell it,s built from ply.Looks very original otherwise..
They,re just toy cars???
You need something like this to stand like a man:rolleyes:

😀
It,s a pain…
If your using photobucket you could start up a new album or try creating a new account.A twin Beau, whatever will they come up with next.Cheers mate..;)
I remember this one..
The Cub didn,t come out of it unscathed though.IIRC the 109 got a hit with a 20mm shell through the main spar on the Cub.The pilot didn,t realise the damage till he got her home.A lighter, more manouverable plane will always have an edge in a turn fight, that plus luck,a skilled pilot and a desire to live sometimes has the edge.
Not an ace but flew and fought.
Earl is a treasured friend of mine and a volunteer on our project.Did his training in Rhodesia on Spits, then to operations in Sicily then transfered to Burma.Only claimed three I think but he came home and became a test pilot here after the war.Knew he had crashed two planes during the war but only just found out he did two more prangs that he won,t admit too.:o A gentleman and a man with the patience and constitution of a monk. They are all hero,s in any way that they served.:)
Woohoo!!
Thanks mate.We have a P8 in need of a going over.Never have enough info around..Cheers FH,a vitual ale to you!!:D
It,s the little things…
Have you checked the rivet heads? If they have dots or marks on their heads it might mean American manufacture..A long shot I know..
Yep he is good.
As original parts are getting harder to get cheaply for the average “Joe” reproductions are the best option.Plus making a part and seeing the end result makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside..Well it does for me….
Thanks awfully old chap…
Pigeon received old bean…:D Will see what I can organize…:)
