Ohhh yes that does look nice.Hope you have a good supply of motion sickness tablets on board.Have a full size profile of a Spit with a cloudy blue sky behind it and it will look great.Wasn,t that movie shown at the Imperial War museum as well?I did have it as a download from the internet but damned if I can find it now..
And so many today forget that bravery is free. Thanks for the headsup.
Welcome
What program are you using for the Flight sim?If I may I can recall Dave is building up a Spitfire Cockpit section to run Rowans Battle of Britain. His website is here http://simhardware.org/index.html .Been busy with other projects of late but he is a nice bloke with heaps of skills and info on setting one up.Good hunting…
Congrats to the guys at HFL.And she does look beaut in the desert scheme. Will toast a vitual drink to the guys who were involved over the years getting her to flying status again..Cheers..
Remarkable.Bit of damage on the rear fuse and the fabric missing but wow.Looks like the canopy came off when she crashed or before. Thanks so much for the pix.Hard to get to sleep now after seeing that pic…
Cheers for the invite mate.Gotta work them there days but will be there in spirit. Not enough time to make models anymore even though my modelling bench is right next to the Pc.One day I keep on saying to myself…..Cheers mate and thanks.
You go first old bean seeing your a bit ahead of what we are up to.Can show you our nice 3d Cad version of the panel itself though.Funny story really.Spent ages marking out a panel template by hand onto a piece of tin ,complete with all the hole centres, cutouts etc.Took me about 4 Sundays in a row to do it.Turned out great. Then our 3d whizz turns up saying he did one up in Cad in two days…Mongrel.Oh well that was fun I thought….I just love it when a plan comes together like that…..Now you know why I,m on the verge of insanity…….
I think we might be able to get a set of drawings together off an original set of parts to do up a small batch. We have a goose neck made out of sheet steel which we can copy off( don,t think it is original). Will ring my mate who has the lower ones that we can copy off and machine up.
Molasses.Bit time consuming but works.Diluted 3 to 1 I think with water.
JDK you forgot Yak 11 ,s as well. 😀
Looks like a winner(what do I know…what was I thinking…. 109..who am I kidding..mutter,mutter). 😀
Thinking Me109 or Fw190 maybe.Small and compact. Will have a trawl online and verify.
German or US perhaps..DEFINATELY not Spitfire.
Hopefully somone gets pics of her engine runs as they will be quite smokey me thinks
