Cowling

There is a way I think,something about using a real early MkIX cowling drawing as its essentially a MkV cowl with an added on bit.Or am I thinking of the top cowl?

Stunning design work..When we did a Spit off the drawings we still had to do a lot of engineering guestimation..

Structural inspection

With its age has a good structural inspection been done yet in regard to corrosion and stress cracks?

Just replace the wooden framed nose with a more real aluminium framed section.With Lanc cockpit sections being done as close to original plus the Stirling and others it seems a natural progression of things.Use the original wreck as patterns to create new or utilise 3D scanning..
